Honestly haven't played Mass Effect 2 yet but Uncharted 2 was one of the most complete gaming experiences I've ever had. Its going to be hard to top, so for now its U2 by default.

I will say this is the closest SW poll I've ever seen lmao 200-201. Mass Effect 2 is winning by a vote!

TC I voted you suck just because of the fact that you took the review scored out of context and came to a pointless conclusion lol.

Like almost everyone has repeated over and over again in this thread "standards change over time".

Dragon Age is better than Oblivion in my opinion but since there are more a lot more RPG's out now to compare it too, it stands among the best instead of being the best like Oblivion was at the time.

You've got to remember that Fallout 3, Demon Souls, Fable 2, The Witcher, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, Tales of Vesperia, Mass Effect, Valkyria Chronicles and many more have been released since that time. Theres a lot more competition then there was back in 2006.

Depends on what type of mode it is. If its Team Deathmatch then hell yes, but other then that I don't really look too much into it. As long as my team wins I'm a happy camper.

Dude that article is all the way back from Feb 2008....... A LOT of things change in well over a years time.

I can almost guarantee you that Mass Effect 2 will be exclusive for 360 for a timed period and then ported to the PS3 at a later date.

MOST people missed the entire point of this thread. The TC wasn't saying that Killzone 2 got bad reviews, and he wasn't saying that it was an average game when it first came out. His point revolved more on how quickly Killzone 2 blended in with all the other average shooters. Honestly, who here still plays Killzone 2 online regularly? This game got a huge amount of hype, but doesn't have a fraction of the success that games like Halo 3 and COD4 have. Yes, it was a AAAE at release, but look at it now? Halo 3 is played more by wwwwaaayyy more people at any given time, and it was released far earlier.

Yea I agree, Killzone 2 is a great game. The graphics are some of the best on consoles and the campaign is pretty solid, the problem lies in the multiplayer. Although the multiplayer is a lot of fun and has a good amount of depth to it, It lacks the extra amount of oomph that shooters like Halo 3 or Call of Duty have. I'm sure a good amount of people still play it online but I haven't played the multiplayer since late March, maybe early May. It was a lot of fun when I played it, but I don't see myself going back to get the top 1% badge anytime soon (was only able to get into top 3%....)

Killzone 2- 9.0 : The game had phenomenal visuals, a solid campaign and a pretty robust multiplayer component. I think the only aspect that really stood out was the lack of co-op.

Uncharted 2- 10 : Probably one of the best games I've ever played. I thought Killzone 2 looked amazing but then Uncharted 2 came along and then left my jaw hanging on the floor. I could talk about the visuals all night but the game is more than that. The single player campaign is fantastic due to the awesome characters and great storyline, not to mention the great writing. I haven't even mentioned the multiplayer yet which is also completely awesome! Its deep, has variety and includes co-op.... Long story short the flaws to me are too insignificant to warrant any score reduction (My opinion).

Both are equally great games.

I think theres a different type of core gamer for the Wii.

All Nintendo firsty party core titles sell extremely well.

SSBB, Mario Galaxy, Metroid 3, Twilight Princess and Paper Mario are all core games(you would be stupid to say otherwise). They all sold close to or well over 3 million+ copies.

I just think that the 3rd party exclusives that come out for the system aren't able to create the same exitement as PS3/360 games do.

It's partially the fault of Nintendo for not showing full 3rd party support (because their to concerned with their games selling well) and also the fault of the publisher for not being able to market a game correctly on the console.

The Graphics King equation:

Better/talented devs + teh cell + Blu-ray + Love= Graphics King.

;)

That should basically be the end of the thread.
