@Splincir @Humdinger80 @NeOmeGamer You know your right, I guess I just don't have as much "bad blood" against Nintendo as I do MS since I never had to buy 3 different consoles due to shoddy hardware like I have with the 360. I haven't bought a Nintendo product since the N64.

Also try not to assume people have the money to afford both consoles and even if they could, would actually want to buy both. I also believe the Wii U and the PC are great platforms and actually offer something worthwhile to the industry.

Hmm the thought of The Last of Us being about woman (mother) and basically giving Joels story to her, going as far as to have her son die in the first 15 min and replacing Ellie with say...an "Ellis" actually makes for a conversation worth having. I doubt it would it would have been as profitable, which is a sad truth and the only reason you will never see such a high profile game with a story like this. I don't always agree with you Carolyn but kudos to you for planting the idea of a Naughty Dog game starring a great female protagonist and how awesome that could be.
I'd really like to see Sony dominate this next gen and the one after. To hell with the need for competition, the SNES and the PS1 owned their respective gens and it was great, it would also put an end to exclusivity deals as well.

WOW. I have a feeling that the NAVY TIMES article also had something to do with MS pulling this 180 cause the last thing you wanna do is have a U.S. military branch giving you bad publicity. Especially with region lock in place they were counting on americans to be the bulk of their consumers.
I know your to blame Nintendo but what I want to know is if you knew you weren't gonna have a Mario, Zelda, Metroid etc, available at launch, Why did you release the system so soon? Is it your fault that 3rd party support (which seemed to be there in the beginning) are turning their back now? Was forcing them to integrate the tablet into their games the reason for that? Quit posting articles stating the obvious, I want real info Gamespot.
