Next time please ask here. The Recommendation thread.But....

  1. Everyday shooter
  2. Trine
  3. Wipeout HD
  4. Fat Princess
  5. Flower

Are all pretty good games from PSN. Be warned though, Wipeout HD can get kinda hard.

would you recommend everyday shooter to someone who has played R-type and Gradius?

they all have their qualities, but I'm partial to San Andreas, the largest game maps of the series at that point. When GTA IV came out I was so into online shooter multiplayer that I couldn't hardly start it.

My 60gb PS3 I've had since Oct of 2007 still works fine. The intercooler I got for it seems to help a lot.

GeoffZak
The guy at gamespot told me the intercooler was not necessary, he said sony ran one in a sauna for three days and it was fine. Mine died (80gb) and I played it for long hours sometimes. It shouldn't die after 2 years because you play it for 6-7 hours at a time, what other piece of electronics dies if you use it too much?

SDTV is not at all bad as some say. I bought my PS3 a few weeks ago and for the first week i played it on a 42" HDTV. Now im using a 21" SDTV. Yes, there is lack of quality, but definitely nothing to worry about. I was amazed how great KZ2 looked in my SDTV after playing it on the HDTV for a few days. So no fuss.

Get the HDTV later when you save enough cash :)

I think its the going back to SD TV after having HD that is hard, When I first hooked my ps3 up to a 32" SD I was just pleased to be playing a new game. When I went back to SD for a while, I really notice how much gamescreen you miss without a widescreen t.v.

COD will be in huge supply everywhere. there was no need to pre-order this title. Unless they pull a Nintendo and divert shipments to different regiions in order to artificially generate hype and give the false image that it's in demand...

never been killed by my own chopper, I'm sure it's pretty much the same as being struck by lightning though. I liked the times when you would call in a chopper and get a 15 kill streak when you least expected it.

I thought it was great when I found out you could actually shoot them down lol

I've been in a few good matches where some of us would just wait with RPGs and just unleash an unholy hell on a chopper request. Take it down a couple of seconds after it arrived:lol:

I know what you mean. It helped to call one in after a string of other choppers. But even if they did shoot it down it put the other team at a disadvantage because the would be busy shooting the heli down while you and your teamates were moving in to broadside them.

If you don't already know, I would suggest to anyone to backup their gamesave data. My PS3 just died after 2 years and I never learned quite how to back up data, and never really thought about it (Of course I thought the PS3 was indestructible for a while). I don't think I would go back to play Oblivion, but now it would be definitely from scratch.

one flaw of oblivion: the oblivion gate missions were too long. Once you get close to the best armor, sword, and magic what's the point to the game?
