It works after setup there is no on or off button. You might need to restart your computer.Trilvester

Ok, thanks again, I really appreciate the help, it seems to have made things a little smoother. Every little bit helps. :D

Alright so I ran the setup for the Amd Dual Core Optimizer.

Does it work directly after the setup? Or do I have to enable it somewhere?

[QUOTE="Hieshiro1"]

I might try that if it comes down to that :D

Do you think maybe since I have Windows Xp 32bit it could be causing some trouble? I've been thinking I should upgrade to x64 or Vista 64bit.

Trilvester

If anything upgrading to 64bit could cause more problems.

k, thank you very much, I have downloaded the optimizer and I am going to try that out. I'll let you know how it works for me :)

Hey everyone, I seem to be having a little trouble with my new 6400+ for some reason.

Whenever I am playing games(any game) I will be running the game with about 50% cpu usage. And then for some odd reason it spikes to around 80% at random times. Freezing the game for a little bit.

Its quite frequent and it can be pretty annoying.

I'm not running anything in the background, just the game. I'm really looking to fix this, any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks.

P.s. : I have 4 Gig of Ram, and that doesn't seem to be the problem considering it says at a constant ~20% when playing even after the spike.

Well, I tried taking out 2gig ram(Both are the same make btw) and it didn't appear to make any differance. I did bump up my GPU Fan Speed to 100% and seems to be staying pretty cool at 60C.

I can't seem to figure out what the heck the problem is.

Should I get a 64 bit OS or something, will that help me? I don't understand :(

If it were overheating then you would probably start seeing artifacts popping up and maybe some restarts. You can also get speedfan that will record the temp of everything for like 10min so after you get done playing an intense part go and check to make sure it isnt like 85C or higher. You might want to check all your processes and see if you are running alot of background stuff that might be causing the slowdowns.Kurushio

Well the Card isn't running up to 85C, I am also running basically nothing in the background.
