I'm also looking for a good RTS or RPG game for the PC. I don't really want something that you have to play online (because then it feels like a MMO). I'm looking for something to do during dead times during the day this summer. I'm an old SC buff and I loved playing Rise of Nations as well. However, those did get old after a while. I've tried playing the Civilization games but they just dont have the same addictive power as SC did. They just don't seem as fun. As far as Oblivion goes, I just can't really get into that game. I had it on the PS3 and it was ok, but once I finally beat it one time, I was done with it. I didn't feel like playing it over again and trying for new things. Any suggestions? I've been looking at Overlord, is it any count?

Me and my college roomate are using one PS3 system. Well, we both have profiles (the ones you sign on BEFORE you play the game) but we can't seem to change active profiles under the file management menu. Even though we both have different profiles with our own records, playbooks, and formations saved we can't both access them at the same time. Anyone figured this out?

Another question: On an online dynasy, can you play someone in your dynesty on the same PS3 console?

What is the best recruit in NCAA Football you've ever recruited? (Any game, any console)

Here's mine: In my 4th season (2nd season with the Tennessee Volunteers) on NCAA 08, I recruited a WR that had a 40-time of 4.16 and was 6'7" 215lbs. As a freshman this kid had like 98 speed, 94 agi, and 98 accel. On heisman i could just launch a hail mary or Play-action pass and no one but him could get to it. And, if someone happened to be there 9 outta 10 times he would catch just cuz he was a foot taller than them. He won the Heisman as a freshman. It was amazing.

I typically play with the 2nd DT (usually the one on the left when you're playing defense). The reason for this: I let the CPU take the best lineman is because it gives them the best chance to get the sack (since user sacks are hard). I typically still get 1-2 user sacks per game though just because I'll break loose and get the QB or will follow the whole the other linemen created and get back there and get a sack or help with a sack. You just have to decide which position on defense you like to play. I like either the DT or DE but I know some of my friends play with the SS or MLB. It's up to you. Just experiment and find out what works best for you.

and a quick addon to my previous post.

This is one thing that gets me about college football. There are no playoffs. They need to come up w/ a good way of doing it. Many different ideas, none perfect yet that I've heard. And secondly, playin the Big Ten and Pac 10 is so unfair to other BCS conference teams. They don't have to play conference championship games like the rest of 'em (ACC, SEC, Big 12). A prime example is Missouri (I think it was Missouri) last year. They were #1 or #2 and had to play a conference championship game. They lost while Ohio State didn't have to play one and at all and got to go to the National Title game without playing a conference championship. They really should add Notre Dame to the Big Ten. I believe there are actually 11 teams in the Big Ten and once they get 12 they can have a conference championship like the SEC,Big 12, and ACC. (same goes for Pac-10). Instead remaining the Big Ten they could call it he Big North or something or the NEC (Northeastern Conference). Ok, off my soap box now.

Yeah, I love it when college football starts up and every game counts. I don't really care for the last few weeks of the NFL when most teams just take the last two weeks off if they have their spots clinched for the playoffs.

What i would love to see this year in college football....

1. A great BCS championship game ( something like USC vs Texas a few years back)

2. Top 5 teams stop losing to average teams every week

3. The Irish live up to expectations

4. The Press stop hyping teams up that are just going to get pummeled when they actually play a good team. Cough.....Hawaii...Cough.....

5. and most importantly for the NCAA 09 game be pretty good, even though that doesn't have anything to do with actual football. Still important to me.

Lostboy1224

My opinion:

1. That was the best National Title game I've ever watched. I love Vince Young and was really excited when he came to my Tennessee Titans!

2. Yeah, that happened every week. It was exciting.

3. The Irish did live up to my expectations last year: 3-9. Haha. I hate the Irish. If they wanna consider themselves a real football team, come play in a BCS conference. Atleast play in the Big Ten, they play just about everyone in that conference anyways. Or come play in a real conference, the SEC.

4. Yeah, the Hawaii game was quite sad. A BIG game this year is in week 3 I think, #3 Ohio State vs. #4 USC (as long as they don't loose before then). It ought to be good. I'm not a Buckeyes fan but I hope they kill 'em. (I hate USC).

5. It's good. Not perfect but a great game anyways.

Ok, first off, ATL baseball is not over. Sure, they're in 3rd or 4th but they are only like 5 games or less outta first. There is plenty of time (remember the Mets last year?) They were up by a ton and lost every game in the last two weeks to give the NL East to the Phillies.

And, UGA is ranked way too high. Don't you remember last year when my Tennessee Vols (who weren't even that great) put a whoopin' on your Bulldogs? Heh. I agree with one thing though: I am looking forward to college football. I'm always looking forward to it. GO VOLS!
