I also switched to gamefaqs for keeping track of my collection. But I havn't yet found a replacement for news feeds from the games I followed. Any suggestions?
I really wish GS would get it's act together. Those features were part of my daily routine. Since they messed it up, I no longer visit the site as often as I used to.
I don't mind the new layout, but I'm still missing a lot of features. For instance, I used to manage my game collection here, but the new stacks are an absolute disaster. Also the site doesn't seem to Firefox friendly. And I'm not going to change my browser, because GS doesn't have it's act together.
@Starshine_M2A2: If they do, that's where we have mods for. :P But I wouldn't want to see Gamespot return to the days of old, where you would get modded for using a single swear word. Which is so 20th century. ;)
As a European I find it very peculiar, that the average Caucasian American cringes, when ever they hear the N-word. But that it's common practice within the Afro American society. You would think that if they find so offensive, they wouldn't use it themselves.
If I were you, I would buy a Solid State Drive. At least one for your OS. But I just bought a second one of 250 Gigs, for my multi player games. My games load a lot quicker now.
And the unions I've been active in are mostly dead, as they take ages to load, so no one is visiting them anymore. It's sad to see Gamespot loose it's thriving communities. :cry:
