seeing as this will probably be the last hardware launch from sony in the dedicated game hardware arena.

StrongBlackVine

Where did you get this nonsense from? Gaming is Sony's most profitable division.

Many dev's are calling on it and the general consensus is that everything is moving towards being in the cloud.

how is this impressive? looks exactly like gow3 which was impressive for 2010 but far from omfg now.silversix_

+1,i'm a little dissapointed they haven't managed to really do anything new looking in the 3 years that have progressed since gow 3 but in any case i always enjoy the god of war games even though they are starting to look all abit too famililar.

Still a must buy if u own a ps2 imo

It seems to be an impressive jump from the ps3 but i don't think (and hope) this is the final version of the dev-kit,with amd's next generation gpu's coming out in march (with graphics core next 2 architexture,GCN2) it would obviously be good to kick off the consoles launch with top of the line specs seeing as this will probably be the last hardware launch from sony in the dedicated game hardware arena.

Anyway at least we know Sony will wait it out a little and produce a machine more capable than microsofts next efforts, weather or not that delay and increase in specifications will be worth it or note worthy can only be told when both machines actually launch, which will be this holiday for the next xbox and maybe early next year for the next playstation.

I use to be a happy owner of the psp system for a number of years and it served me well, full 3d console style games on the go,being able to play dvd quality films in a large 16:9 screen (which was unrivaled for its time) and the ability to cater to all my multi-media needs in one device. However the advantages of the sony handheld faded about half way through it's life cycle and now we have phones that do what the psp use to be good at plus more. The ps vita still has amazing specs for a handheld, big 5 inch super amoled plus screen, full array on console buttons as standard (the two thumb sticks) and a integrated online network that caters to what people who live and breathe games need. The ps vita will sit in it's reign as being the king of the ultimate portable gaming handheld that is unmatched in providing the console experience on a handheld in a sleek portable form factor

If they manage to replicate the killzone 2 experience but on-the-go portable style, then it will put any other fps available in the portable scene, including gamelofts modern warefare and n.o.v.a

[QUOTE="Haroon90"]I think it has more to do with knowing you own something that is less inferior compared to something else, less than worrying about what you don't know you don't have,if that makes sense.wakefulness

As a consumer, if you see something and match up the two; you must see one item as inferior and the other as superior.

Is that what you mean?

I mean you might be very happy with a product and never think it was inferior or anything, but when something new gets announced then your like oh now this is crippled and not as good anymore, but before the next best thing was announce you were perfectly happy with it,so im saying people just get annoyed by the idea of something out there that is better more than the need or purpose of having some better.

Well one of the upsides of buying special edition usually is that at least they don't go down in price after time and many actually go up in price depending on how many special editions they produce. it could actually end up making you a profit if you sold it later down the line...

Yes, but the few times that is the case you can't open them and you must strictly buy it with reselling it advertised as "brand new."

Not always i have seen world of warcraft special edition go for BIG money even as not brand new,so it depends.

It looks like the same old thing since the original gears,i actually really enjoyed the original gears back in 2006 when i bought my fresh new xbox 360 and had a blast online, but circa 2013 i don't think the same game with some refinements is all that interesting.
