I'm not sure how much I will like that 3rd party member thing, but knowing I like SMT it will probably be fine (still I think it doesn't fit into the FF world...)...

And I just hope I have money for this when this is out, since money is short nowadays and I'm buying at least 3 games this year (Catherine, Disgaea 4 and Dark Souls), and hardly know how I will be financially at the start of next year...

And I'm already leaving behind (or for when I have some extra money) WKC2, Atelier Rorona and Ar Tonelico... still an FF game would take priority over any of those 3, but not over the other 3 (or a new SMT game) nowadays...

Not to mention that I'm still looking forward to VS XIII more then this...

For me so far not sure... didn't looked much into it, and still have some catch up to do with games released this year (mainly Atelier Rorana, BlazBlue Continuum Shift and Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition), for next year I'm looking on Catherine, Air Tonelico 3, Hyperdimension Neptune, Tekken X Street Fighter and probably other JRPGs that find their way to Europe during the year (Disgaea 4 would be nice!).

But to short that down my most anticipated game is probably Catherine (since I saw the trailer, and it gave me the same kind of vibe of Shin Megami Tensei, I'm really looking forward to it), same for the spirit successor of Demon's Souls (still just called Project Dark I think), but not sure it will find it's way to Europe during 2011...

I only own a PS3, PSP and PC, that's why all of them are multi-plat or PS3 exclusives, and I'm not a big fan of portable games, not a PC gamer, that's why I normally forget those 2 platforms...

I wouldn't say much about the VATS system, since the changes were minimal from what I experienced (I play heavily with that, since I'm no good at real time, and FPS in general), but in some way it's a bit improved, but at the same time is worst... it's worst only in the sense that some of the greater VATS or AP Perks got tuned down a lot (major case being the Grim Reaper, since it doesn't fully restore the AP, only give 20% recovery... on the other hand there's some major perks, like Sniper that gives almost 25% more accuracy when targeting the head, also affects the real time, but it's more important for VATS).

As for the real time play, it's more fluid from what I used it, and a bit more natural for me, but as I said I'm not a FPS player, so don't take this as being all that good.

So FNV isn't an expansion, but a separate game?

Garfield360UK

Yep, its not a full sequal as I hear Fallout 4 is in the works. Think of this as a Halo ODST to Halo 3 (with Halo ODST being New Vegas and Halo 3 being Fallout 3 in terms of release and what the second game actually is). However it has a lot of content so far for a game that uses the same engine as the Fallout 3 one and some of the same assets.

Its really good from what I have played and there has been a patch for it on the Playstation 3 and I hear more are on the way. Also there is at least one DLC piece coming out this month and into the future most probably.

A little note, that DLC in question will be Xbox 360 exclusive, at least for now, and no word if it will end up on the PC and PS3, but probably will.

So if someone have a Xbox 360 it may be a better idea get it for it if you want the DLC (or at least sooner), since the amount of problems and support are the same in both platforms from what I heard (I'm on the PS3 only, since I only own a PS3).

There weren't any patches for Fallout 3, as for Fallout NV, well it runs better then Fallout 3 even before any patches... still they released 1 patch for New Vegas that was to fix about 200 bugs/glitches, and said they would send a new patch with more fixes.

Still New Vegas is a much much smother experience then Fallout 3 (note my Fallout 3 experience was with the GotY edition that is more glitched then the original one).

Hey welcome to the union, Han_the_dragon. Did you encountered the moonwalking dog glitch yet?

By the way guys It'd be great if you can point out some differences from fallout 3 so that people who completed FO3 can get some idea about the game.

DeadManRollin

Thanks, and no I didn't found that glitch, still my canine companion have been half burried... easy solved by a fast travel, same happened to my character 1 or 2 times...

As for differences to Fallout 3...

- New Story
- No Boobleheads, replaced by implants for the SPECIAL, but just that and you can only take as much implants as your END SPECIAL
- Less books IIRC, less perks from level up (1 every 2 levels), bonus perks or experience from complete some tasks (like killing 100 insects, or finishing 5 missions).
- New weapons, environment, armors.
- Karma system isn't as important now, being used mainly the SPECIAL and secondary status in the speech challenges (anything from Speech/Barter to LUCK), and the Faction system for the groups of people.
- New enemies (from new kinds of Super Mutant, to completely new and deadly enemies, still not as deadly as 3-4 or more Deathclaws together..., No Super Mutants Behemoths though).
- Now you can have 2 companions 1 robot/canine and 1 Human/Ghoul/Super Mutant.
- Hardcore mode in a mainly minor annoyance, since dealing with Sleep, Food and Water is really easy, ammo have weight but it's easy solved by only bringing the ammo you currently use (leaving the remaining in a save place, or dismantling the ammo, since components don't have weight so no problem here), the only problems are that stimpacks heal over time.

Interesting, I am just leaving the first town on the game so I will see what happens in the next part of the game. I want to do the come fly with me quest line as I hear its an interesting one and the trophy/achievment name sounds like it could be a lark.

Garfield360UK

I didn't finished it yet, since cleaning the basement is really hard... or I wasn't prepared for that the only time I tried it... still you will probably laugh (or WTF) at 1 guy when you find out who you were talking at the intercom at the start...

The Platinum casino chip, isn't made of platinum, nor is a casino chip... still I will not spoil more then that.

The game goes around you trying to track the person who shoot you in the head and took the chip, then it opens up for 4 different possible endings (each with a different side, that is the normal way where you finish the delivery of the chip, siding with 1 of the 2 big groups in the game or don't siding with any of the 3).

I'm starting to think in restarting again (when I take a brake from GT5), since I did a quest I shouldn't (well technically the quest asks me to help killing someone that I don't really fell that deserves to die, but I already killed her..)

I have one word for you dude. Diablo.valereth-1

Nope, I don't play PC games (for some reason I really don't like to play in a PC), and I have played Diablo 2 for a bit (really just a bit maybe 1 hour, or so...), so no, not for me.

No, but VS XIII maybe the last one, but not sure... if they start doing more crap like XII then for sure VS XIII will be the last, since XII is 1 of the ones I like less for a lot of reasons, there's few things done right in that one and the story changed it's direction to much after the 1st part of the game, putting everything you do a bit far from what really important was going on... so if they don't return to good stories in those games I'm done with the series..

Still we never know, the only thing I'm 99% that I will do is avoid FF XIV... I really don't like MMO and the only Co-op RPGs I'm getting/played are Demon's Souls (rarely played it online) and WKC (when I buyy it I will play online with others, but will try to play only with friends, not with random people, since those normally aren't a great option...) and that's how far I will go into online RPG experience, I like my RPGs offline.

Where did you guys saw those prices?

looking at Amazon it seams like it will be about 80€, if so count me in, other way no (I will be already spending 140€ in games in less then 1 month, just to get FFXIII and WKC, so I will not spend more then 10 or 15 extra in FFXIII)... thankfully my brother is the one paying for Heavy Rain...

Balmane

Are you serious!!! €80???? That is rediculous!!

Well it's what is in the sites of Amazon and GAME... so I guess the price is right... still I couldn't get my GAME store to Pre-order it for me (Portugal)...

And after what I did today I really don't comment on prices from 1 store to other (got Fallout GOTY for 15€ when every other store sells it for 60€... and could have got Wet for 20€ when everywhere else is for 60€... both brand new games... I may go there tomorrow and get Wet as well..)
