Thanks, I wasn't aware there were DVI to VGA adapters. I'll see about picking one up. It would be better for gaming anyway, since the TV has less input lag on the VGA port.

I have a Samsung HL-R5078w. The TV is a 2005 model DLP, but the picture still looks fantastic so I haven't bothered to upgrade. The native resolution is 1080p, but it cannot accept 1080p signal through the HDMI ports. It will accept 1080i or 720p and then deinterlaces or upscales the image. It can accept 1080 x 1920 at 60 Hz through the VGA port, but my video card only has DVI and HDMI. The card is a Radeon 6870 HD.

I picked up some games with good controller support during the last Steam sale, so I figured I would use a 360 controller and play them on the TV from the couch. If I set the second monitor (HDTV) to 1080 x 1920 at 60 Hz, the picture will show but there's a tear line about 3/4ths of the way down the screen even with vsync on. It happens in several different games, so I know the games aren't at fault. The line goes away at 30 Hz, but then I'm limited to 30 FPS.1280 x 720 at 60 Hz gives higher FPS, but the graphics look fuzzier due to the upscaling.

Is there any way to tweak the settings so the line goes away? If not, would it be better to set it to 1080 x 1920 at 30 Hz or 1280 x 720 at 60 Hz?

[QUOTE="c0mplex"]

sounds like someone has some superiority complex issues... :?

3picuri3

like you and your goons that take PA word as fact? and editorial on a comic page that is loosely based on the gaming industry is not gospel pup. i think the only one with issues are you and some others in this thread that prefer to sensationalize issues instead of waiting for the facts.. which is what I plan to do

because its always more fun to YELL isn't it kids :D

i need some sanwiches and juice stat people - we don't want them crying in here.

They also just so happen to run the largest gaming convention in the US (which I might add that Gamespot covered earlier this year), as well as a million dollar gamer charity.

Gosh, do you think they might have some kind of, you know... Insider contacts?

There is no 'right' order. Now that all three are out, just buy the one that has the most games that appeal to you first.

I have tried clearing out all the connection settings, rebooting both the Wii and the router. Still getting error 51330. It was fine before it downloaded this system update. Now it won't connect at all.

I picked up Mario Galaxy the other day and decided to play my Wii for the first time in a month or so. It downloaded a system update automatically, and now it gets error 51330 when trying to access any internet related functions. Nothing has changed on the router, and I have other wireless devices that are able to connect fine. I use WPA TKIP and have tried putting in the preshared key again, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

I don't root for any game to flop, but I do admit finding it funny when an overhyped game does. Ah, schadenfreude.

I've never had this problem. It may be your OS, browser, etc. It can be many things. My guess(since I am not a Tech)is that they can't duplicate this problem to find a solution.

I hit enter and ...space

See?

Dracula68

Since the problem is so widespread across many users with different browsers and happens nowhere else but here, I would suspect that it is a problem with the coding of the web page and not with users' individual PCs.

Not until it has some games that I want to play that I can't get on the PC or 360.
