Silver Moments

by on

I've always been primarily a console gamer, although I'm not averse to booting up the latest and greatest PC titles every once in awhile--or just playing the demos. Lately though, I've had an odd urge to go back and play some older PC games, specifically Dungeon Keeper, Myth, and Dune 2000. I've been able to run the latter two games on Windows XP, but I haven't had any luck with Dungeon Keeper yet (not that I've tried very hard). Between Myth and UT2004 though, I really don't feel like I need much more on my PC. The Battlefield 2 demo has been getting some play on my system lately though, maybe it's about time for me to pick that one up so I can go online and get mowed down.

I picked up tickets to the Nine Inch Nails/Queens of the Stone Age concert, they were damn expensive but it should be a cool show. It's not for a couple more months, so I figure I'll stop listening to NIN and QotSA now so when it's time for the concert I'll enjoy the tunes that much more. I haven't been to a concert in a long time, I think the last big show I saw was Tool and Tricky. After I see NIN I don't think there will be many more big name bands on my "must see" list. All of my other favorites are long-gone, and even if they did a reunion show I don't think I'd want to see it. Those things are so depressing. I guess seeing the Queens of the Stone Age will sorta be like seeing Kyuss (another bygone favorite of mine).

Hmm, nope, I'm not going to talk about the whole Hot Coffee thing, because if you're reading this you're probably already well aware of how insulting the whole thing is. Oh well...
