Steam often charges Australian consumers a lot more than other countries, as most gaming and software companies do. Steam forces Australians to use an Australian service and one must spend AU$ to buy games from the service. Why should software companies be exempt from providing quality products, just because they are not physical? They insist they deserve the money when people pirate games so, therefore they should accept the laws that govern commerce, wherever they provide it. In Australia, we are lucky we have laws protecting consumers, something many other countries do not have. Look at No Man's Sky and the mess that is. How many people wanted a refund and got nothing? By law they should be offered a full refund. Decent retail practice would provide a refund for a broken, fraudulent service. For far too long online corporations have been getting away with paying no taxes, offering limited and faulty services and abusing their positions. It is about time they were held to account.

I see people fearing Bioware is trying to seduce people to become gay For a start, you can not be seduced to be gay you are or you are not. Surely most adults have the strength of character to know something is there without it affecting them. You do not have to choose to do it, unless you seek it out. Secondly, how can anyone think logically there is an agenda behind this. Gay society does not hold big gay meetings to plan ways to make people gay Is there a feminist conspiracy because one can play as a female toon? What it shows it that people can be open-minded and accepting of all factors of life and society. Accepting does not mean agreeing. It is about time people stopped thinking conspiracy and evil at every turn; that is a sign of paranoia. Look at the world in wonder at it's richness and diversity, when you do your own life will be richer for the experience. When we can all accept our differences the world will be a much happier place.

There are times I just hate to hear the awful acting and accents in some games; notably a Californian sounding noble in a fantasy game. I have always considered they need a more neutral accent in games. There are times when I don't find the storyline engrossing enough to keep me interested. There are times when the storyline and acting are so good I can't wait to get to the next part. Whatever the case may be, it is my choice to buy and play a game the way I like it, just like TV or choosing a film to see. Just because this woman has made a suggestion some find disagreeable it is no reason to be rude and immoral. Everyone has different tastes and ideals, that is what makes society so interesting.
