I always disliked pre-ordering games. Back in the day, GameStop employees would keep hounding you so they can get a repeat visit. They would spread the typical scarcity BS about “it’s going to sell out etc.” I was always able to walk into the store day one and and get a copy if a game reviewed well and I find out it’s not broken.
Nowadays, those goons are right. Publishers pushing digital are shipping less physical games and if I think a game is going to be rare (NIS America), I have to pre-order as a necessary evil…
I almost didn’t find a copy of the recent Megaman Battle Network collection.
The single player dlc will probably be a Trojan Horse for the online modes. It will feel like a soulless and shallow means to an end. It’s hard to stay optimistic when the rockstar I loved is dead to me :(
Absolute joke. As mentioned, they are slowly drip feeding content that users already had before. This “new” service is a lazy attempt to make a GamePass competitor while price gouging people who are nostalgic over some PSX games (most of which aged like a rotting corpse). Anyone with a PS4 last gen will probably have most of the must-have titles already from the extra and deluxe tiers.
Plus, PS4/PS5 games can be found on sale both physically and digitally regularly. Why bother with this and lose “ownership“ of your library?
Not worth it imo. I’m hoping any PSP games added to the service will be added to purchase digitally at least at a later time.
