I think if it came down to you and the next guy and you were both starving our animal instincts would take over and there would be a fight to death with the winner eating the other. It's brutal, primitive and sickening but when it really comes down to it we are just animals with big enough brains to understand the environment we live in and each other.

I've never been extremely hungry but I've been hungry enough to know that taste doesn't matter at a certain point and neither does what you're eating.

I think before reaching that extreme stage, humans would band together and form hunting parties, use their thinking processes for hunting birds, animals, finding roots, nuts, greenery to eat before that happened. Lets not all assume that hunger is insurmountable. Mankind has survived for a long long time, eating one another is very definitely a last resort, we DO have other options, and hopefully those of us that consider ourselves, evolved and civilized would seek out those other options...FIRST before regressing to our lowest form.

What exactly about his wounds caused his death? Did he bleed out? Then yes, I suppose I would if I absolutely had to. If he died from infection, though, no thanks. Either way you could probably round up enough fruit/berries/grubs to survive long enough for rescue to arrive without resorting to cannibalism.DJ_Lae
This was my answer too. I wouldn't care how he died, I would start hunting for edible vegetarian items, hehe :D

I have no problem with cannibalism in that circumstance. I wouldn't know where to start cooking a freshly killed anything but, that aside, bring on the other other white meat :)

Just out of curiosity, to those that said no way, why are you so against cannibalism? The guy is already dead and it's sort of the same as eating any other mammal.

Because personally that is about the grossest thing I can think of doing, so nope hehe.

So lets say you and a group of people go on a hiking trip and end up trapped. Some guy dies of his wounds. You know help is coming but it will take a few days and you're out of food... There's no way you can survive without food, and help is coming for sure. Will you eat the dead guy? You can cook him..

Personally I think I'd rather die instead of resorting to cannibalism. I wouldn't be able to live with the fact that I actually ate a human. th3warr1or

Nope, I would eat roots, leaves, berries, grass..anything I could find rather than resort to cannibalism.
