Only played Gothic 3 and while it is a bit rough around the edges, it did have a beautiful world to explore. So if you like to just explore and take in the atmosphere then I'd definately recommend giving the game a shot :)

Dark souls, ME franchise, Fallout, Elder scrolls are all exceptional games. But if I had to pick one that truly made a lasting impression on me I'd say Baldurs gate 2.

I don't play WoW. However, I loved Warcraft I & II.Pinkscare

How is this relevant to this topic?

Ontopic: If they decide to add microtransactions to this already P2P game I'm sure they will lose a substantial amount of subscribers. Even paying for mounts was pushing it but if they go further I don't see it go well in the long run. But hey, it's Blizzard... so who knows.

I'd definately recommend playing offline. The game is really immersive and nothing breaks immersion more than some jackass player who thinks he's funny with a complete and unnecessary hint. Besides, beating the game without any sort of hint feels much more like an accomplishment.

Online is great when you've beaten the game however.

Yeah I hate buying a game that I've been excited for and as soon as I see the weird keyboard layout I know it's a bad console port to PC that just feels really wrong. It's a shame for them to go to console as well, as it probably means the PC version will be tailored to consoles as it can't be done the other way around. That being said I do trust Bethesda not to screw this up... so fingers crossed I guess. carlandcarl

The game is not being developed by Bethesda but rather by a stand alone subsidiary of ZeniMax Media Inc. As of yet they haven't made a single game yet afaik.

As far as I know back in the day it was a solid product. But since Dell took it over the quality went down drastically. But don't have any first hand experience.

It's a rather boring and mundane, cut and dry themepark MMO. Been there done that.

However if you like themepark mmo's it's worth a shot i'd say.

In the beginning when I was new I didn't really carry any humanity, just used it when needed to kindle bonfires.

But later on it was mostly just 99 at all times for the added bonus to defenses.

Definately too much platforming if you ask me, I spend more time running and jumping than I do fighting, which isn't what I play DMC for. It's a bit of a dissapointment especially since the combat is well done.
