I am having a hard time getting my user review of They Are Billions to accept edits, especially the inclusion of images.

To elaborate, the edit may be accepted and the article gets changed - or not at all. In the latter case, the website dumps me to the Reviews page of the gamepage.

I do not know what causes this. Repeating the same actions randomly causes this problem or not. Changes that have been accepted are not reverted, however.

Things I have done on my side.

  1. Deleted cookies and re-logged into the site. Doesn't work.
  2. Cleared my browser cache. Doesn't work.
  3. Used another browser. Doesn't work.
  4. Disabled all browser extensions. Doesn't work.

(Also, this seems to be affecting forum post edits too. It took me a few tries to include the above list.)

UPDATE: Alright, I am seeing some bonkers outcomes from reloading webpages. I am getting different versions of this forum post and my user review, some of which are those that had been edited two hours past.

I am beginning to think that there is some problem with GameSpot's server synchronizing of uploaded data.

I am referring to this article and this one.

Is this a bug?

To think that there were some cynics who were saying that this is a preparation to re-release and sell NES games on the Switch.

P.S. I have to admit here though that I remember him more for his voluntary 50% pay cut during one of Nintendo's lowest moments - and I still want to say that he's super-cool for doing something that so many other corporate suits don't fucking do when their companies are nowhere in the black (that's accounting slang).

It's some kind of fucking new script by CBSI, executed by its "vidtech" sub-domain. The script somehow doesn't need a Flash object to appear on-screen to play the audio portion of videos.

I added it to my block-list.

Don't bother with the site's own video player - you are better off blocking the heck out of it whenever you surf on GameSpot, and get videos from GameSpot's YouTube channel instead.

So... recently, I have activated a Steam key that I had from a Humble Bundle for Natural Selection 2, a multiplayer-centric game that is already a few years old.

This game still has a following, specifically in Europe and North America. The problem though, is that I live in neither region, so I was joining sessions with obviously high ping rates.

I don't want to talk about how frustrating and embarrassing an experience that was, and I believe that some of you who are reading this know this all too well.

My mistake here is that I had not studied about the regions in which this multiplayer-centric game is still being played before making the mistake of learning this the hard way, so this is an unpleasantness that I deserve. So, I am going to learn about how to check for this information lest I make this same mistake again.

However, I tried to look for sources of info which describes the nationalities of the player base for a game. The game may be on Steam, but Steam's official info does not include this data.

The closest source which I have found is SteamSpy, but Sergey Galyonkin's site requires a registered account to check the number of players by geography, for whatever reason.

Is there any other alternative?

@Archangel3371: I don't think so either. Splatoon is still a bit too new for a Musou treatment, and Musou is more about melee stuff than it is about shooting stuff.

@yammireckorrdsan: If Pokémon is to be given the Musou treatment, some of the Pokémon would have to be denigrated to mook status.

This is the main obstacle in applying the Musou treatment. I can imagine that some people over at Koei-Tecmo/Tecmo-Koei would be pissed over having a Pokémon that they like being cloned into cannon fodder.

It's not an insurmountable obstacle for the likes of Koei-Tecmo of course, considering how irreverent they are.

P.S. Do keep in mind that there has been a Koei-Tecmo game about Pokémon, namely Pokémon Conquest. Oh yes, the Sengoku Jidai would have been made more interesting with Jigglypuff putting samurai to sleep.

The description which has been given about the game seems so generic. It can describe just about any 2D action-platformers which have been made. My guess is that it might be a game adaptation of a tokusatsu show.

Also, it is not clear whether this is an old 16-bit game or one of the newer action-platformers.

Furthermore, there is a stickied thread for this.

So ... you may recall this thread which I made.

That said, after thinking things through, I believe that just about every Nintendo IP that may have a theme of violent conflict (even if it's just bopping someone on the head) can be turned into a Musou game.

Which Ninty IP do you think couldn't possibly be turned into a Musou game without being completely off-kilter and unpleasantly irreverent?

Animal Crossing is very unlikely to be given Musou treatment - just look at this. HOW can this be done?
