I hadn't been in GameSpot's news articles and such for years, and there are still commenters like you around remarking "Are you paid for this?" and shit.
Occam's Razor: There are some GameSpot editors who are hella into Grindstone, and they are using their privilege to post any shit on Grindstone.
This is why I don't do go into articles like this; reading remarks like yours make me regret ever doing so.
@kletoskletos: I don't know. I haven't messed around with the settings on my message features for a long, long time. Maybe something changed with the default settings? I wouldn't know; I haven't been following GameSpot's site development efforts for years.
That said, I am replying to you because I thought of checking my GameSpot messages these past few days. Despite my regular posting of reviews, I actually haven't been active in GameSpot for a long while now.
I am not interested in upgrading my computer just to play the AAA's. Prices for state-of-the-art computer parts are also awful where I am. I don't want consoles. Many of the AAA game-makers are also in my blacklist.
@kletoskletos: It is a matter of whimsy. Consider Guybrush Threepwood (of Monkey Island) exclaiming that he wants to be a pirate when he washed up on a beach; it's that kind of whimsy.
That said, I don't play AAA titles these days. I don't have console machines and my computer can't run any of the computer versions of those games.
