IMO, the most important country in gaming for each decade:
- 1970's - America
- 1980's - Japan
- 1990's - Japan
- 2000's - Britain
Overall, I'd say the most important countries in gaming have been:
Oh Jag, posting things without reasons. (Britain? 1980's Japan?
Oh Jak, posting opinions without reasons, and then getting annoyed when other people do the same thing...
Oh Jag, posting a claim, and not backing it up, and then Damage controls by spinning.
Nice try, hypocrite...@Jakandsigz said:
How the hell is Japan winning a poll that in no way is possible for them to win objectively excluding the weeaboo votes?
I'd love to see you try "damage control" that load of tripe...
You made the claim you need to back it up. It's called burden of proof, something when legacy existed every single person beat the crap out of you on.
I don't need to damage control anything I said in this thread since you made the claim and I am asking why.
Firstly, when you write something like there "no way is possible for them to win objectively excluding the weeaboo votes", that's called making a claim. And unlike most other posters who are only posting their opinions, you not only posted an opinion, but even claimed your opinion is "objective", while at the same time ridiculing those who disagree with you. If you're going to make such a bold claim, then I'm afraid the burden of proof rests on you way more than those you're disagreeing with.
Secondly, by "every single person" on Legacy, I assume you mean A48 and his sock-puppets? Sure he "beat" my head a few times with his trolling, but he did the same to most of the other regulars. The only other Legacy regulars I remember having issues with me was probably you and Barbaric, but that's about it. Anyway, I find it pretty funny how you claim "every single person beat the crap out of you", when that's exactly what's happening to you right here in this thread. Oh, the irony.
And finally, since you seem to love bringing up the old Legacy board so much, then it's pretty obvious you already know my reasons for choosing Japan, yet you play ignorant... If you already know my reasons, why even bother asking? If you think my reasons have changed, then no, they haven't. Whatever I said back then in that Legacy thread is still true today. Or have you forgotten and just want me to remind you again?
I afraid that no matter how you add on to your spin the actual rule is you posted the claim, I asked why and you refused based on an opinion you chose.
And No I am talking EVERYONE from Barbaricavatar, Byshop etc.
Also know, I don't know why you choose japan, which is why I asked why/. But the main problem here is the further damage control by ignoring there fact I mentioned Britain as well.
You are intentionally acting stupid right now and changing words around. For no reason, when all you have to do is say why and stfu and be done with it.
Right, so using logic must be called a "spin" to you... Wow, just wow. You've already been called out for being a hypocrite, yet you still continue to be a hypocrite even after you've been called out for it. What are your reasons for claiming that "objectively" Japan should lose against America in this poll? You demand reasons, yet fail to provide any yourself... Once again, hypocrisy at its finest.
Byshop? Sorry mate, but I don't remember having any spats with him. Stop making stuff up. And really? You don't know my reasons for choosing Japan, even though you were ranting at me in that Legacy thread for suggesting Japan was the most influential? For some reason, I find that hard to believe...
And finally, for the 2000's, it was actually a very close call between America and Britain, but I gave Britain a slight edge. Why? Well, I've already given one major reason above in my reply to edidili... If I had to guess the most influential franchise of the 2000's, it would probably be that one.
@jg4xchamp: I had a feeling I was missing something for 2007 and 2012. STALKER, Hotline Miami and Mark of the Ninja are good ones for my list.
I struggled when it came to putting Dark Souls on my list. It is great, but it's just not my thing compared to the others released that year.
I'm torn. I love the Covenants more than the world tendency(though I think world tendency was used in a more effective manner), I think all things considered the boss fights are even(though Old Monk is king on sheer premise), I prefer the structure of Dark Souls more(being all Metroid like), the PVP stuff, the Artorios stuff, the better thought out level building(though minor adjustments), and I think parts of Demon's Souls can be a drag since you do end up backtracking so much through levels when you die. The shortcuts help, but not nearly to the same extent as the bonfires.
But I think the moment to moment level design is just sharper in Demon's Souls. Plus nothing in that game felt as lazy as Lost Izalith and um Demon Ruins. Also think cutting you at half strength was kind of effective and separated soul form with human form.
So I don't know. There are lot of little and structural things I love about Dark Souls, but the meat of the game I tend to have fonder memories of Demon's Souls.
Dark Souls 2 should come in and cheat, and ruin both of them for me. Make this easier on me.
Why isnt League of Legends within the list?
If Dota 2 is on it, i believe League of Legends is better than Dota 2 has it has a better interface, and makes the game much more pleasent in my opinion, not to talk about the delay that there is in Dota 2.
Btw if anyone is interested in trying out League of Legends, its a free to play game, so just sign up and check it out.
XboxOne = next gen device
PS4 = hardware upgrade.
Once again to be consider next gen you need Next Gen Hardware...hahaha
Did you find a way to replace your stove by using the xbox one as well.?
