@kingofpotatoes I just chalk it up to zealous brand loyalty. I think most people who visit this site aren't fanboys, just norms who choose not to participate in the discussion. Which is usually just a bunch of mindless pandering or crying.
So its like a fantasy x-com with eugenics! Nice! As someone with lesser genes, I would keep a couple asthmatics around. Heart disease and slow would get straight snuffed tho.
Some of gamespot's reviews can be harsh, and more often than not overwrought, but they're critical and fair. (There are also times when I disagree with a editor's review, but not so much to where I feel the need to throw a fit.)The reviewers take their job seriously and are professional. I trust GameSpot's staff.That is why I come to this site, and have been doing so for close to a decade. Although, at the end of the day it is your money to spend.
If you want to blindly buy a product even though it has serious flaws, then go for it! Just don't start saying the GameSpot staff is bought and paid for, or IGN is a more credible review site(it is not) just because it confirms your bias. People tend to have differing opinions. Learn to #dealwithit.
@Max_160 Polygon is alright most of the time, but I agree that the reviewer sucked. I chalked up most, if not all, of the demerits he listed as him not understanding or sucking at the game. It was a little less objective than I'm used to and he spent the majority of the review ripping on the single player. Then dedicated a fraction of the review to the multiplayer. Which I felt wasn't fair and lazy. In my opinion, he failed to justify a 5.0 rating.

@GamerCents Well said old sport. It is refreshing to see an insightful and expressive comment. The way you conveyed Cliffy's compassion to his subtle closing paragraph is indicative of a subtle mind at work.
