I find that is will be an awesome game to play with my friends but not so much by myself.UprootedDreamer

Yeah, I am not sure how the game will work solo, but multiplayer will be good fun, unless one of your teammates blows you up with a grenade like when I was playing it at PAX, lol.

I played the game at PAX Prime and I am a long time RE fan and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. You really have to approach the game as it is, a squad-based third person shooter that just happens to be placed in the RE universe rather than an actual RE game. So it breaks canon, but RE games have always had multiple endings, some of which were canon and some that were not, so I don't think you can knock the game too much for that.

That aside, I think the game played really well. The fact that you are not only fighting against human opponents with guns, but also zombies and BOW's adds a new wrinkle to the formula, like how if you get hurt too much, or injure another player, they will bleed and attract zombies that will mob them. There's a good assortment of weapons that I saw and you can get special abilities like active camo, kind of like perks, I suppose.

The gameplay I thought was spot-on for a third-person shooter. The characters handled well and the shooting was without issue. One of the things I like most is that the melee button works no matter where an enemy is around you. If a zombie comes up behind you, if you hit melee your character automatically will attack behind them. If you keep hitting the button, you will chain attacks together if you are surrounded and the animations were pretty damn cool. I really liked the fact that it worked in 360-degrees around you character though.

I wasn't really sure what to expect, but even after the demo at PAX I am feeling pretty positive about the game. I think I may pick it up when the game is out. Just don't expect a traditional RE game, because it is not. This is a team-based action game. If you want something closer to older RE games, get Revelations for 3DS. I played that one as well and it felt way more like old RE games in terms of pacing and atmosphere than RE5 did.

That's not necessarily true anymore. Most review sites I have seen have given the Optima generally positive marks, and consumer reviews have been just as favorable. Even Car & Driver gave it 4.5/5 stars, as an example. Plus they have pretty much the best warranties out there right now. But regardless of what the press is saying, it isn't stopping Hyundai and Kia from selling cars like hotcakes, which is impressive during a time like this when most people aren't really making big purchases like cars as much. You have to at least give them credit for that.

Sure, the Camry is not necessarily a bad car. It's still the best-selling car in the US, and for good reason, but Toyota and other Japanese manufacturers are getting some strong competition from the Koreans.

That's not what I meant by "it's still a Kia." While I still don't buy that the Korean companies make quality cars, I was likening the Optima to the Camry. But neither one is a sports sedan (nor even remotely sporty), so why does the Kia masquerade as one? I understand that cars with no performance intentions don't have to look incredibly boring, but the Kia is just reaching too far.

Ah, I see what you mean. Yes, most of the best selling cars are boring because American buyers like boring cars I guess. I think the new "designed for America" Passat is a good example of this, but I would rather buy a car that I enjoy looking at even if it isn't the fastest out there. Though there are plenty of cars that have a good mix of both out there in a reasonable price range, but if I had to pick between the two I would probably take the Kia.

I still think Kia and Hyundai have a ways to go to shed their old image of poor throwaway cars, but I would say I am most impressed with their incredibly fast improvement.

But it's still a Kia. You're basically just tricking yourself into thinking it's a nice car because it looks better than a Camry. At least the Camry isn't pretending to be something it's not.

The Koreans are taking over with Hyundai/Kia. Their sales are climbing in a big way in the US. Many people are considering them to be like the Japanese auto manufacturers were 20 years ago.

I have an '09 Accent hatchback, it isn't the greatest car in the world but considering I only paid $12,000 for it new I can't really complain about that. Sat in a new '12 Accent fully optioned hatch a few weeks ago and it was actually really nice, I hope to trade in my current car for one soon.

Hyundai/Kia are still working on refreshing their vehicle lines I believe, but they are going in the right direction I think. Just look at the 2012 Kia Rio and Hyundai Veloster:

I haven't owned one, but 90's Hondas tend to top lists of most stolen vehicles.

Honda has the S2000, which is a fantastic track car and a very lively roadster. Mazda is rumored to be coming out with a new RX-7 (yes.. RX-7) that will be based on the Miata Mx-5 platform. The Miata is as strong as ever, and faster than it used to be.

There are quite a few very fast American cars out right now, I'll give you that. However, they haven't proven themselves in terms of quality and reliabilty long-term. Not to mention that almost everything fast made in the US (with the exception of the Corvette) drives like a truck compared to a Japanese or European sports car.

Honda killed the s2000 in 2009 :(, but yes, if mazda makes a new rx7 and keeps the rotary engine, i will be a very happy man

I'm not holding out much hope for a new rotary, sadly. At least they kept the Mazdaspeed 3, even if it has that huge grin on its face.

i agree the Genesis coupe is basically the spiritual successor to the supra

Plus they are offering good cars at low prices with better styling. Just look at the Kia Optima, the car is gorgeous compared to something as "beige" as the Camry:

Not sure why you're being sarcastic. Starz on Netflix has a MAJOR selection of movies.

It's too bad that "major" selection doesn't feature any good movies.

Not to mention they are never in HD.
