Nethack. Dungeons randomly generate, there are a million ways to die, there are countless weapons, armor and artifacts and the game is tough as nails. It's everything Diablo is based on and wishes it were.
The man spoke the words of a person who fulfilled his ultimate purpose. In layman's terms, he glimpsed the enlightened state. This means he came to realize what most would never in their lifetimes -- that what we take to be ourselves in fact isn't. I can tell you that it may have been painful for him at first, but he was eventually freed from it when he realized the fact of being "only his consciousness and nothing else." Every authentic mystic has realized this state. Jesus, Buddha, Mohommed, etc. That said, our being consciousness and nothing else is considered to be man's primordial state; our true identity. - F
