I like video-games better when the game-industries were trying to appeal to geeks/gamers.
Now they just try to appeal to average joe/lee to play the games. And the quality has gone down since. Not the technology but the quality and freedom of expression in games is dying :)
And nothing worst than those type of people who supposedly have "open-minds"(more often not it's just a front) drag their personal problems into those fictitious forms of entertainment. Even the publishers too.
People who have "issues" will always have "issues". They've had these issues long before they ever got their hands on a controller or a mouse. The games are not responsible how people act-out and misbehave in real-life.
If their that stupid to act-out over these games then they need to either have the game taken away from them, or both seek medical attention. They act out. Guess what, that's their problem. The entire-game base does not need to baby-sit for idiotic people in this world. It's impossible.
The only thing I can exclude to this is when a publisher goes out of it's way to make personal or condemning statements about a game or it's players as if their God themselves or judgemental hypocrite calls.
You get players who are unstable and can't play video-games then they need to find something positive to do.
Looks like it still exist. See how developer and morons freaked out over TERA's elins. They've covered up every single model in censorship and the publishers got a nerve to preach to us gamers how and what should be "played" in a video-game! :)
The Hot-Coffee is no big deal now but here's the get-go:
People keep thinking video-games are restricted to kids. The media feeds off of this because it's PR to fill the slot. The media glorifies ANYTHING so a controversy is always something juicy to fill the tidbit with.
Now you look back at Hot-Coffee and laugh. The game is so old and outdated the entire scene looks hilarious. Why, when anyone can play Second-Life and do Hot-Coffee themselves? :)
Yes but it's the idiots who don't play games and the fake gamers who make the controversies in the start!
Why can't games be fun like they were during GTA? Developers were much more humorous back then. Now their little political sacs of casual game-play blood-suckers.
