I haven't invested much personal stake in the Vikings since that whole 41-0 fiasco in New York...but I'll admit that I like they way they're turning things around. They still need to tweak the defense a little, and they need an actual quarterback, but all things considered, the Vikes are the most compelling team to watch in Minnesota right now in my opinion (the T'wolves are absolutely pathetic, the Twins are stagnant and seem to be making roster moves in preparation for the new stadium, and I could not give a #$%* about hockey).

I thought the game was a great idea put on the wrong platform. The GBA isn't the place for that type of brawler. I would kinda like to see a sequel on the DS or PSP. I owned the original, but lost it somewhere n Washington D.C. Check your street gutters, D.C. residents. You may find a free copy.

Sonic is a big deal because he's still a gaming icon, and because his games still sell well, the comics are still running, and the cartoon is a big hit with the younger GameCube/GBA crowd that Sega's been pandering to since Sonic Adventure 2:Battle. So his name still means something. And it will probably add about a million extra copies in sales. I know I for one amintererseted now, as I was never much into Smash Bros.

It is Eggman, cougar. Deal with it. And the modern series isn't the scrummy pile of crap that everyone likes to make it out to be. The only two really bad games are Shadow and StH 06...since when does two bad games ruin an entire series retroactively. The rest of the modern games hold their own so long as they don't get unfairly compared to the ridiculously revered Genesis games.

I actually support adding new characters to the gameplay, so long as they add something that's actually interesting to the story or gameplay. So characters like Cream I can live without.

Oops sorry for the double post (now a triple post). My damn connection was malfunctioning. My message didn't show the first time so I resent it.

Tragically, the fate of Sonic RPG is in the air. While Microsoft has gone on record as saying that the EA acquisition of BioWare will have no effect on Mass Effect, Sega has been quiet. The sole reason the game would be cancelled is because of the adversarial relationship EA and Sega have. The two companies want nothing to do with one another, even through an intermediary like Bioware. I hope the game comes out. The worst case scenario is that the agreement between Sega and BioWare gets enulled. An even worse scenario, is that the agreement is enulled, but the Sonic RPG still happens...in the hands of Sonic Team.

It wasn't the characters or the stories that ruined Sonic. Sonic fans do want to see a good story with likable characters. What ruined the series was developer complacency and mismanagement.

Sonic Rush getting a sequel is fine and all, but that doesn't let Sega off the hook just yet.  What they need to make is a proper 3D console Sonic that gets full developmental attention from a competent team.  They need to make a game that'll shut the 2D purists and the whiners up for good.  They need to do it.  'Til then, this game will be at least a decent time killer.
