To me, a world's appearance matters a lot. Even if the world was empty and didn't have anything useful, as long as it looks exotic or new, I'll explore every nook and cranny. However, this can work against me because if a world feels flat or boring, but is loaded with secrets, lore, and items, I'm not as inclined to explore it. I take the world searching in short bursts, not in long marathons but I do intend to see what the entire game world has to offer.

Traveling in a mythical land feels exciting. I simply like being able to go to places because I can. I don't need to worry about food and water, or the travel time because it's a lot easier to get there on-foot than go to a major city IRL. It's simply exploring for the sake of exploring. Ironically, I don't like traveling IR very muchL. I've had a few incidences where I got lost and got into some trouble in real life, and it feels very different because there's real consequences IRL, and there's no overly-friendly NPC to help guide you along most of the time lol I was in France a couple of years ago and I wanted to try something fun before I go back to the hotel. I asked a restaurant manager who was helping serve out dinner. He gave me directions to a red light district. I was approached by this girl, we talked, she didn't like what I said (I simply wasn't interested) then some guys started hassling me. Nothing physical but being surrounded by five swarthy, angry men wasn't fun.

However, I do like to explore small cities and abandoned buildings, especially the latter. It's scary at first but the thrill of being alone in the dark with nothing but two flashlights is too exhilarating. I get a major high out of it. Too bad most of them are cordoned off or enforced. I guess it's also because of nostalgia. Growing up in the Philippines, I attended this "supposed" haunted school. Rumor has it the facility used to be a grave site, then a hospital was build on top of it then was later converted to a school. My friend and I snuck in at night and man it was the most frightening and exciting feeling as a kid! Didn't see any ghosts are apparitons but I could have sworn I'd see faces of a girl on the wall from time to time and we heard this really terrible moan that scared the daylight out of us. It was actually a guard having stomach problems lmao We didn't know one of the storage rooms was actually a small guard station at night. After playing Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, I really want to explore a huge haunted building and a swamp. Forrest of Doom and Dark Academy were amazing levels. Aside from that, no game has made me want to go out and explore.

I feel like I have a bias towards this. For one, I'll get tired seeing the same thing over again. I'll use Persona 4. That game spawned a remake: an anime, a movie, two fighting games, and a rhythm game. While I enjoyed most of the things mentioned, I started to get fatigued by the series. I just wanted Persona 5 to get announced or better yet, released.

Two, the constant release of games is bound to decrease in quality or stagnation. There's just so many changes a game can go through before it turns into something else or just feels it's hitting its stride or chugging along.

I want the Xenosaga Trilogy remastered.

If they speed up the pace of combat and improved TP acquisition for Ep. 1, I'd but it just for that.

I'd like a remaster of Star Ocean 3! Hopefully they rework certain characters such as Albel and Adray. Albel is very powerful but most of his moves knocksdown the enemies. Adray just sucked and only had a few good moves. Only good thing about him was his beard.

I've never thought about it that way. Then again, I don't play a lot of social games such as Farmville, Battle Beach, Class of Clans etc, but you do bring up a good point that as people get connected, some parts of the social fabric gets lost. However, I think a different kind of social event can still take place. One with comment sections, posts, tweets and all the "Sharing" going on. It's not physical, but the social aspect is still there.

You're right though. Gathering four of your favorite friends to play Smash Bros. and seeing all of that friendship go out the window as one player spams down+b as Pikachu, the other spams the Ray Gun, and the Fox player constantly using Side+B is so much fun. Trying to 1-up each other in arcade games to see who can do better who simply watching each other play is a precious moment. My favorite moments when I was a kid when my neighbor and I would play MGS2 and we didn't know what to do because we didn't understand English very well. Complaining about horrible aiming controls, what the conversation was about, questioning are life about reality and the lack of it. Glorious.

Okay! I got into a tangent there...

Dynasty Warriors 8 is a decent pick up and play game. A bit repetitive but if you want to mow down hundreds of enemies and learn a little bit of Chinese history, check it out. Some strategy is involved but nothing too strenuous.

Diablo 3 is also a fun game.

Do you want a multiplayer or singleplayer experience?

I haven't played Titanfall 2 but For Honor is very fun. It's very different from a lot of competitive online games but it's an enjoyable game.

For singleplayer, I'd go with Watch Dogs 2. Fairly easy and laidback and a good exploration game. Only thing is, the story and character motives don't pick up until later on, if that's your deal. Also, I'm very biased but look into the older Dead Rising games such as 1 and 2 if you get the chance.

I bought the Vita on release day. I attend the midnight release though.
