Merry Christmas to all....

...and to all a good night. I got Resistence 2, Fallout 3, and Red Alert 3. Now that I got Red Alert 3 I feel it is time to upgrade my computer. Hope there are some good ones still left after the holidays. Why is is that everywhere is closed on Christmas? What if a hindu wants to get something to eat? Just because it is christian christmas does not mean that people of other religions need to suffer. Anywho, I will be having a good time with my games, while hindus go hungary.

Great Rally

I went to the Barack Obama rally last night here in Chicago. It was inbelievable. Hundreds of thousands of young people, of every creed and color imaginable, having a huge party in honor of the next President of the United States of America. There were shirts that said Obama-Palooza on them. It certainly could be described that way. We cheered on the results as they came in. When California was called for Obama, and he was therefore officially elected President, the crowd went absolutly crazy. It was truly something to behold.

It inspired me because it showed that us young people can make a difference. Young voters turned out in record numbers to support a candidate who did not fit the mold that our leaders have pressed themselves into for hundreds of years. Maybe that is the reason that video games are so popular, and have such a ligitimate place in our entertainment industry. Us young people have started solidifying our place in the world. We are a force to be reckoned with. Whether it is the billions of dollars that major corporations spend, and make, on our entertainment, or it is the fact that we young people can swing an entire election, we are not going away.

Be careful on your Bike

My friends and I had gathered on a local driveway. The weather was beautiful and the fact that everyone was getting ready to go on a motorcycle trip only heightened our friskiness. A good friend of mine, a local Polish immigrant, whose house we were at, was talking about a beach trip he had recently returned from. This beach trip apparently involved plenty of alcohol ingestion, which of course can impair anyone's judgement. At first my Polish friend was only sitting on the bike, reving the engine, then it happened. Let me make myself quite clear; Harley Davidson is not known for making a weak bike. Within a span of maybe a hundred feet this machine picked up quite a bit of speed. Only to come to a dead stop when it struck a tree. My friendly Polish buddy did not come to such a convenient stop. He was thrown maybe twenty-five feet through the air. At some point during this flight his arm came into some contact with one of the beautiful trees in the area. It literally snapped the bones in his arm in half. The ramifacations from this split second bad decision. Tens of thousands of dollars of medical bills. The loss of one's dominant hand for up to two months time. At least one painful surgery. Two months of lost work. Constant humiliation. And of course, bike repairs. Let me make myself quite clear; Harley Davidson is not known for making a cheap bike.

What a surprise

So I was supposed to get just DBZ Burst Limit as a present. They send the game for the wrong system. So it gets returned, and exchanged for not only the PS3 DBZ, but Metal Gear Solid 4 as well! What great news. I was seriously regretting my decision to get DBZ over MGS, (as well I should have) BUT NO MORE! I also caught a nice sized fish today. One fish, two PS3 games. Oh, happy day.

I chose DBZ Burst Limit over MGS4

I figured I still haven't beaten GTA IV, and I still have to unlock Dry Bowser. I really do not have time to get into an immersive single player game. I think I am trying to make excuses to myself for making such a bad decision. DBZ has not even arrived yet though, who knows it could be really good.
