"hey everyone lets find an answer to a problem that has little to nothing to do with the problem to begin with." the reason that they are better marksmen after playing shooters is bc it improve hand eye coordination. just like how there are studies that surgeons who play video games are better in surgery then ones who don't. there are also plenty of studies out there that show that people who play violent games are less likely to be violent in real life bc they have an outlet. the problem with all of these "studies" is the are subjective, they have an end point where they want to get to then they mine the data that they won't to support there theories. games don't make people violent, people are violet and some do not possess the ability to control there actions, but that doesn't have anything to do with violence in video games. we were killing each other long before this form of media came out. the only reason video games are getting blamed is bc the population wants something to blame, a "smoking gun" if you will. bc when we have "reason" for the violence then theoretically the violence can be stopped. but people seem to forget that we aren't the only country that plays video games.
