The PlayStation Store has now updated, unlocking December 2015's free PlayStation Plus games. As announced previously, these include Gauntlet: Slayer Edition and King's Quest Chapter 1 on PS4, as well as Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and SSX for PS3.

Vita owners, meanwhile, get Freedom Wars and Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken.

You can use the links below to queue up your download from the PlayStation Store's website. As always, these games are yours to keep for as long as you remain a Plus subscriber.

December 2015 PS Plus Games Lineup:

  • Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon (PS3)
  • Freedom Wars (PS Vita)
  • Gauntlet: Slayer Edition (PS4)
  • King's Quest — Chapter 1: A Knight to Remember (PS4)
  • Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken (PS Vita)
  • SSX (PS3)

Does anyone here have a particularly strong opinion about the games that are being served up this week? Probably going to pick up Blood Dragon since I haven't played it yet (in my good ol' Pile of Shame).

@shalashaska_: Which is why we're encouraging discussion here in the feedback thread. We've been actively pointing people here to share their opinion and insights regarding how they feel about the new system and as you can see, we've already mentioned what things we will be making efforts to improve. That being said, that doesn't mean that we plan to stop there.

Please, continue to share your feedback regarding the functions you want to see. But again, I'm going to take a moment to remind everyone that we do have a Community Code of Conduct and we expect people to follow it.

@mairsil: As @LarkAnderson mentioned in his post:

As some of you have pointed out, these changes have been in the works for some time now--this has actually been how the news reading experience has worked for signed out users since E3. After making a few tweaks, most notably the addition of comment upvoting (which will be fixed today, by the way!), we made the decision to release this to everyone.

As for why we've made these changes, what we're trying to do here is make it easier for our users to read articles by letting them transition seamlessly from one into the next. With this layout, we also wanted to reduce some of the clutter in and around the articles by removing the right column and the "skin" ads that box in the content, and adding in more whitespace. This type of news reading experience is increasingly commonplace, and variations of it can be seen right now on sites such as ESPN, Time, and the AV Club.

@Gliave: Thanks for taking the time to report (and for including how you're trying to view the player). The video player issue is one that we're aware of and is currently being worked on.

@aigis: Probably not going to happen, but that's an interesting tactic, that's for sure. That being said, can you be specific about what you found in the "old site" to be so awesome?
