Anyone know the fix for the PC version of GTA:San Andreas bug that makes everything go at 2x speed, I know it's got something to do with me having an i7 quad core, but I'm hoping there's a patch of a bug fix or something that can sort that out. Cheers for any info.

My budget is a work in progress, but will likely be around $500 maybe a bit more.
What case do you have?

My case is an old Antec Sonata, must be from 2003 or something, it's really the one part of my rig I haven't updated recently, any suggestions about a cooling case? I've heard cooler master are kinda the default go to guys for that.
I'm thinking of finally overclocking my PC (long overdue) and was curious to know what kind of hardware might be alcking from my rig, I'm thinking mainly in the cooler and fan department.
This is my current spec:
CPU: Intel i7 2.93 GHz
Mobo: Intel DP55KG Extreme Series
Vid Card: ATI Sapphire Radeon 5770
Power: 550 Watt
Basic heatsink and fans installed, no additional cooling units except for a poor fitting dust filter (from a past rig), the case is small and doesn't have any special vents or anything.
Tell me what you think and link me some (affordable) hardware if you've got.
I'm not sure it would be the graphics card overheating, other games work fine, I play the Witcher 2 on High settings without any problems with overheating.
So I thought I would start playing the Witcher Enhanced Edition again so I could get some saves to import into my next playthrough of the Witcher 2. I installed the Witcher, however when I got into the game the graphics went haywire. It's hard to describe but essentially the character models and some of the environment models seem to shoot or bleed off, it looks like there are flashing spikes coming from them. I can't seem to find anyone else who has this problem, and the game is patched up to v1.5. Can anyone help me out here?
My specs are:
RAM: 2X 2GB Kingston RAM
Graphics: ATI Radeon 5770 Sapphire
MB: Intel Extreme Series DX58SO2
Processor: Intel i7
After having some fairly big issues with compatibility issue with my nforce4 motherboard and Radeon HD 5770 graphics card. So instead of updating the Bios for the nforce4 (which supposedly would fix the issue) I've resolved to get the Asus M4N75TD Motherboard nForce 750a SLI. Can anyone tell me if this is a smart buy? my processor is 2 AMD Athlon X2 4200+ and as far as I know everything should work, unless there's something about the DDR2 or DDR3 support I'm unaware of. Any suggestions or advice?
I managed to solve the problem by turning my fans spin rate up from 50 to about 75, with a full game that should be abput 80-85 then. It turned out that my fans aren't powerful enough to keep up with my graphics card, so can anyone recommend any good cooling systems that won't break the bank?
It's not the power thats the problem, strangely it works on other games like Mass Effect with the graphics on full, which I always thought required more power than The Witcher on full. The graphics card is only a year old, so I'm not sure it would be the card itself. Is it more likely to be the other hardware like the motherboard or is it more likely to be the cooling system that's not working properly?
I've been having trouble with some games on my computer lately, during play green spots flicker on the screen and increase in number and intensity until the game crashes, this occured on both The Witcher and Dragon Age's character creator. I have a Radeon HD 4850 Graphics card with the latest drivers, so is it more likely to be the monitor, which is a BENQ that's about three-4 years old, or could it possibly be that Bioware's graphics engine and my computer just don't agree? If anyone has any advice or experience with this problem could you please speak up, I'd rather not have to purchase a monitor I don't need.
