Metro 2033 was an exception to my rule of gameplay over atmosphere. I had fun playing Metro 2033 just because of the visuals and story telling, but much of my enjoyment came from it being the first real 3D first person shooter I played as well.

Much easier to play than Dwarf Fortress, but with hardly any reason to play it. It seems like all you do is dig out a Dwarf Town with your only opposition being random rooms with monsters in them. You can just avoid them until you're ready for them and everything else is just redundant.

Plenty of weird graphic problems, but you know what it's totally playable and looks really cool even if you don't rename the .exe so I guess I can't complain too much.

Didn't work with the steam version : (. Hopefully this will be resolved. The HUD is 2D which I can tolerate but there's some nasty halo stuff I saw. I'm still using the helix patch to hopefully resolve some of the issues. The game seems ok in 3D, which is good because I stupidly spent 60 USD on it (not including tax) without being totally sure. I still feel sad because I liked the first game quite a bit and was hoping for an improvement in the stereoscopic category.

I'm gonna play through the first couple of missions and see how it goes and if there's too many glitches I'll hold off on it until it is more compatible.

PS I signed up for Transformers forum and tried to contact activision and gave up on them and went here.

http://helixmod.blogspot.ca is the website and the patch was made by some guy called DHR to be specific.

Can't wait to try it, but I'm a little worried I couldn't find a copy of the game in stores and I'm worried steam won't like me changing .exe name to refer to another 3d profile, but I think it should be ok if I start game from the .exe itself. : /

I'm very suspicious of those screenshots because a lot of new games use stupid special effects that don't work well in 3D. So a screenshot might look good but it's only 1 single shot of the game and other levels or parts of the game might be unplayable. I'd feel a lot better if Nvidia or Activision would say something straight up about how well it works. Or maybe if there's another person out there who has wittnessed the glory of 3d vision can say how well it works. There was one time where I bought Shogun 2 : Total War and left it in sealed packaging so I was able to return it, but I assumed it would work because Empire Total war and Medieval Total War 2 worked perfectly just about (with some simple tweaking it was awesome). I found out before breaking the seal that the new effects they used don't work in 3D and made it unplayable. Since those effects were ntohing compared to the impression of depth and I was still figuring out tricks to Empire Total War I returned it and saved myself $65. Another time I bought Dead Island in Canada which had the 3d ready logo on the back and found it it barely worked in 3D at all (only reason I bought it AND it turned out to be a crap game). I e-mailed them about it and they said sorry. My experiences as a 3d gamer I guess

Does anyone know if this game works well with 3d vision? I know most people don't care, but stereoscopic 3d is important to me when concerning graphics heavy action games and will be the deciding factore on whether I buy it or not. It's either this game or Dark Souls which I know Helix 3d made a 3d patch for
