Was there some sort of embargo where you couldn't show anything beyond the first few hours of the game in the video review?! Got it yesterday and currently in Mushrise Park!
Looks like you had quite the trip indeed judging from the footage. Cringed a litte when you asked that the question at the conference and the response you got at the start. Game looks pretty interesting. Remember I used to play a browser tank game in college at times when he were supposed to be doing work. Was pretty fun!
Don't know why Rayman Origins was on here because the credits were unbelievably long that you just couldn't be bothered fooling about a couple of mins after. Super Smash Bros Melee in my opinion would have been a more suitable pick, which Vanquish pretty much took its credits from.
Nice to see the GS Ashes again since it was enjoyable to watch last time. At least the UK and AU team manage to put out content at a regular basis unlike that other team that shall remain nameless. No offense but these two put out a show each week and a podcast etc while the other team just do a podcast and very little else besides interviews, reviews etc.
yes I got a new laptop yesterday and I really happy with it anyway since it runs this game perfect at 60fps and dont care if all the stuff is not at max. this is what mine is anyway. intel core duo processor 2 ghz 2 gig of RAM 200 gb hard drive 512 MB Nvidia Geforce 7900 graphics card. Before I played this on my brothers computer and it played fine but only in 30fps or less than that until I got into big places like Stormwind where it was a slideshow.
I have Beyond Good & Evil anyway for the PS2 and thus far I believe it is a great game with some good gameplay, nice graphics and a good story to it. This feature now makes me want to go and get the whole Monkey Island series since I have The Curse of Monkey Island and love that game very much and still one of my favourite games. I do not like Resident Evil as I tried several times to get into it but just couldn't because of its annoyance that it takes forever to kill a zombie and by the time you do, you have no ammo left or whatever and its ages away from the next one or something. I like Resident Evil 4 because it had none of these problems. Great feature and really look forward to more of them.
Good job Carrie on the article, it is good to see you do such interesting reports other than features about the educational side of things like games and the uncanny valley but you are one smart person. As time marches on, games are in a way are becoming more realsitic in terms of graphics and that but in the end, they are not perfect as one or two flaws will still appear within games that make certain character models looks quite clunky and silly in a way and will get criticised for it like you stated in the article. Assassin's Creed by the trailer looks set to be a very beautiful looking game and will carry on what was good about the Prince of Persia series with its unique and wonder animations for the jumps and combat and may get rids of this uncanny valley stuff or it may end up having some aspects of that but we will wait and see.
