I assume that Bethesda are allowing those involved in the beta test this weekend to have access to the current game client which roughly ~20Gb but at a rate of 250kbps I'll not be finished for another 7 days lol.

I'm not the only one who has this issue and it's kind of an ironic catch 22 that their "Stress Test" should kick off in this fashion.

FYI I got the invite early morning AU time today. Timing much.

At a glance everything looks to fill your needs. People have said that the 7750 can run on as little as 300w PSU but you might want some more head room for expansion.

I thought they were there to unveil hardware for their new gaming console. All I saw was a HTPC making a Skype call while ESPN played in the background. The "Reveal" was really only the name - ONE - and the fact it looks like a DVR. Oh and don't forget the 8gb of some kind of RAM that will most likely be chewed up by background processes running on 3 unknown operating systems.

IIRC they ceased most if not all Xbox1 games immediately after 360s release. GTA V will most likely be one of the last quality games we'll see on the 360.

Don't buy immediately and try to get a second generation console so they've worked out any potential RRoD failures like DJSAV_101 said. In saying that, I did pay ridiculous amounts for my 360 back on launch and I too recall paying over AU$600 for my original PS1 with 1x controller and just the demo disc lol. So yeah it's nothing new to people who purchase consoles.

There's nothing wrong with a good refresh.  Nvidia has a history of putting out some very solid cards at decent prices in refresh cycles.

Agreed. For those who want to chase the latest technology then Nvidia have provided 2 paths you can go down. For people like me who are waiting on a price reduction on both 600 and eventually the 700 series we're mostly grateful that the 700 series has finally arrived.

Save up some more money and then throw it at a pre-built PC with decent specs. If you're up for it you could buy the parts separately and build it yourself but considering your original question, this might not be a good idea for you.
