@Mogan: Even worse! Why not let us determine the "meta" (**** I hate that word)? Let us explore on our own the weapons we like and the counter strategies. We don't need meddling Big Brother to tell us how to play.
It's not the content .... there really was plenty. It was the constant fucking tinkering by Bungie with patch after patch, buff after buff, nerf after nerf, rule change after rule change, to the multiplayer experience. Never did we get a consistent experience. Just when we get used to a system of playing and get familiar with the weapons we like and are successful with, we get a change. For me, the final straw was the deplorable elimination of secondary weapon ammo in the crucible. After that, the gameplay deteriorated exponentially. I have put away the game, I think for good, after two years of becoming absorbed in it. I feel relief, not sadness.
@dominoodle: Auto Rifle, Pulse Rifle, Scout Rifle, Hand Cannon, Sniper Rifle, Fusion Rifle, Shotgun, Sidearm, Machine Gun, Rocket Launcher, Sword, Melees. And there are a huge variety of all of these with differing damage stats for Range, Stability, Impact, Fire Rate. I think you already know that, but are being deliberately stupid.
@darksouls: Tons of us still do. The DLC has not only revived but revolutionized Destiny significantly. Matches are full, and content is extensive. If you have it, come back and check it out ... you might be pleasantly surprised.
Since when do you need Playstation Plus to play online? You can join the Playstation Network FOR FREE. Always. PSPlus is a yearly subscription for added product discounts and free stuff. It's not required.
