I have walked away after only an hour or two on many games but Fable 3 was the first game to come to mind when I read the title of this thread. After a little over 3 hours I just gave up, the game felt so boring and I was completely uninterested in the world of Albion and its lore.

Some other games I've abandoned after a short while would be Borderlands, Far Cry 2, Kane & Lynch, Heroes of Might & Magic VI and The Walking Dead Survival Instinct are the major ones I can remember at the top of my head.

i guess you all probably know a ton of fisherman jokes.

A couple.

Though they're usually a play on words and therefore won't work in English.

the NSA may show up on your shores and demand you apy $250,000 USD for stealing from MS.

Got way too much frozen haddock from my uncle last week, do you think they'd want some of that instead?

i know with XP 2 GB or 4 GB didn't really matter. but windows 7 64-bit uses a bigger page file and it opens more processes. but i'd only really had experience with the 64-bit version of 7 until i bought this computer (used Dell Core 2 Duo from Newegg). i upgraded to a socket 1155 celeron dual core, but i only bought 2GB of RAM to save money. reused the Win 7 license from the Dell which was 32-bit. wasn't sure if the 32-bit version of windows acted like the 64-bit version or not. I guess it does. still, 4GB is the max. i'll have to buy a 64-bit version of 7 if I want more RAM CptJSparrow

Well it's at least good that you were pleasantly surprised. :P You planning on upgrading this computer further any time soon?

I only just realised, I've never bought an operating system. The last non-pirated OS I used was Windows 98 on the old family computer a long time ago. Since then I've always just pirated them. I have this wonderful copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, doubt I'll be switching to Win8.

I'd censor the word pirated if I were you

True, will do.

I've been playing some Samurai Warriors 2 on my PC (with a PS3 controller of course) for the hell of it. Great way to kill time while waiting on my copy of Warriors Orochi to arrive from the UK. I have it for PS2 but I finally decided to get around to buying a PC version, since it's superior in every way. Then there's the occasional level in DW7 Xtreme Legends but I'm putting that on hold indefinitely once I get my hands on Warriors Orochi.

You did not expect an improvement in performance and speed for some programs with the extra ram? Or you didn't know the 32-bit Win7 supports up to 4gb of ram?

Gianhardy141

it looks like the stereotype of icelanders knowing a lot about computers is true

I thought that one mainly applied to the Swedes. They're the one with the godlike Internet connections.

so i upgraded the ram on my new computer from 2GB to 4GB and on a 32-bit install of Windows 7 I've actually noticed a performance jump in browsing. Chrome opens noticably faster now. weird.

you can always copy your data folder which will save the modded version of the game for later. i used to do that with Oblivion and Fallout 3 before i started modding. make a copy of the data folder before installing any mods so that if a mod killed my game I could just copy the original data folder back in and start again without having to reinstall. works great actually.

Bruneauinfo

I don't really want to keep it, I've gathered so much stupid stuff and barely any of it is worth keeping.

There are tools on Skyrim Nexus which you can use to merge your mods, animations, and leveled lists so they don't conflict.

The problem is that even with the tools it's a lot of time and work. I'm not willing to spend a day or two just modding and updating skyrim, so I'm not playing it at the moment.

harden007

Yeah, no point in wasting that much time on it. I think I'll just reinstall it. I'll try not to download that many next time.

I thought Titanfall looked quite good and many of the PS4 games I've looked at didn't look too shabby either (Like Killzone, Destiny, Infamous and Watch Dogs). I'm probably going to go with PS4 this gen but not at launch, my PC will more than do for now.

Maybe I'll wait for Koei to drop DW9 on the PS4 before getting one. :P

wonzan

I don't quite understand the hype for titanfall. Just looks like a FPS with mechs instead of killstreaks ala call of duty. The graphics are probably the worst of all the next gen games shown too.

Well I got hyped for Killzone 2 when it was announced so I guess I just have a thing for generic looking FPSs. :P

wow Oblivion. probably would be cool to play on the PS3. i would probably actually play it since I wouldn't be tempted to spend the entire time tyring to mod the crap out of it.

Bruneauinfo

I've rendered my copy of Skyrim unplayable thanks to all the mods I've installed (about 170). :( It seems some of them have clashed and now the game can't be played anymore.

I'm sure I'll reinstall it when I finally feel like playing through the Dragonborn expansion.
