Here we have a longtime franchise built up across platforms for nearly 20 years. S-E just rebooted the brand to everyone. Now. Just like that. MS drops a crap ton of cash and says it's all ours. It's nobody else's even though it's always been everyone's. It's one thing to get exclusivity on a new ip, an ip that doesn't have fans rooted to other platforms, it's another when an ugly corporation steps in and says screw everyone else it's now ours. It's dirty. It's MS. I don't give a crap if it's smart or not. It's disgraceful. I wish MS would just get out.
Crystal Dynamics confirmed it's NOT a timed exclusive. This is classic MS at it's dirtiest. Sure. maybe one day I thought I'd eventually get an XO on the cheap, but now I don't feel like giving those rotten guys a penny. S-E and Crystal Dynamics should be disgraced. Please. Would MS just get out of the console business.
@BradBurns @ivan_osorio DOA5 is great. I've always felt that the series has never gotten enough respect from fighting communities. It's does have a detailed combat system that competes with the best of them.
DOA5+ is a good port. The exclusive training exercises are invaluable to learning the game play system better. Unfortunately they ditched the tag mode.
@badwedgie00 It's not easy getting everyone's discrete game play systems working together for one game. The closest 3D fighter offering I remember came in the form of Sega Saturn's Fighters Megamix.
I dig the feature Maxwell. I hope my favorite gaming genre keeps getting better as time goes on. I fear the worst for Virtua Fighter, sales wise. Hopefully Sega keeps it alive through the years by better targeting the home console market. It would seem ever since the coin-ops went south VF's popularity has gone with it.
