Hi,

After having a laser burning problem with my 360 in May of last year and receiving a new system under warranty, I haven't had any problems with it until now. However, immediately after exiting to the dashboard while playing a game, the green light in the middle of the power button started to blink constantly and the disc tray opened whenever I attempted to close it. No matter what I do the system seems to be stuck in this strange state. Sometimes the disc tray remains closed and makes a single tick noise and then opens several seconods later. Whenever I turn off the system the loud power adapter (the big brick thing) will not become silent and the disc tray will eventually open. The only way to turn it off is to pull the power plug. I've seen some instructional videos suggesting to push the tray in with a game inside in order to force it to read the disc. Another showed a 360 with the outside cover taken off and showed that pulling up on a spindle that is supposed to keep the disc tray in place will fix the problem. I am worried that I might damage my 360 by using these methods and also do not know how to take the cover off. Has anyone had this problem and/or knows a likely fix? I bought my xbox in October of 2009 and had it fixed under warranty in may of 2010. I don't believe I can get it fixed for free now.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks so much. The slim controller feels different to me so I was worried that it would only work with slim consoles.

Hi,

I have a friend coming over but I need a second controller. Will his controller that came with the xbox 360 slim be able to connect to my original xbox 360? If possible, remind me of what buttons you must press to synch a controller with a new console.

Thanks in advance.

$23 exactly. I was considering it so I called them up and that's what they said. Might be different where you are though.

Hey,

I'm thinking about getting a PS3 but am wondering how the internet works. Does the system come with an ethernet cable to hook up to a router for internet or does it have built-in wireless?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I got a 360 a few years back and have always had problems with the controller. However, now it has become close to unbearable. I can't find any way to hold the controller comfortably and it is all because of the left analog stick being placed on the top of the controller rather than on the bottom. This forces you to hold your left hand significantly higher on the controller than your right in order to get a good hold of the analog stick. However, the grips on the back of the controller are designed to fit your hand in a lower position, so this seems to be why it is uncomfortable. Does anyone know of any alternate or modded controller that perhaps has the analog sticks on the bottom? At gamestop I saw an advertisement for a PS3 controller that changed its analog layout to mimic the xbox 360, so I was wondering if there was any 360 controllers that mimics the PS3. I really don't want to spend $300 on a new counsel just because the controller is the only thing ruining my experience with the xbox.

All comments are appreciated.
