Hello all,

I'm looking for a (as much as possible) linear single-player game based on dodging enemies whose attacks are slow and heavily telegraphed and who are carefully placed within well-designed and challenging platforming levels. Preferably, the game should have no RPG elements and contain a number of bosses. The game can be short, 2D or 3D, for any platform, and doesn't need to fit the description perfectly.

I'm well aware that older 2D games are more likely to match the description, and that was where I was looking anyway.

Thanks!

Microsoft support told me that I might be able to use a converter that will allow for mono sound. Does anyone have experience with stereo to mono converters? The person I spoke to said she could not guarantee that the sound would come through both earphones and not just one.

Hi,

If I understand correctly, mono is the term for audio where identical information is sent to both speakers. I like to use headphones when I play and for some reason the jumping of the sound from ear to ear bothers me. I read somewhere online that the white video cable is mono, but I'm using hdmi so I don't know how that would work. I can't find it in the audio system settings either.

Is there any way to use mono sound on the xbox 360?

Thanks.

Hi,

I'm considering getting a 1080p hd tv for xbox 360 games but am wondering why people spend money for larger televisions if the resolution is the same. I wouldn't mind sitting very close to the tv in order to see the minute detail on a 24'' tv. Does anyone have experience with large vs small tvs with xbox games when they are both 1080p?

I really don't know where else to ask this question. I think it is loosely related to the xbox so I hope this topic doesn't get taken down.

Thanks.

Hi,

I used the nvidia control panel to add anti-aliasing to the game but whenever I do this it makes the mini map as well as the health bars on units and structures a bit blurry.  The game looks a lot better otherwise and the aa is still worth it but has anyone had experience with this issue? I guess blizzard didn't want people to add aa since it isn't even in the graphics options.

Thanks

Hi,

I had 1600 microsoft points on my account and decided to download the Fenix Rising pack thinking that was all I needed to play on dedicated servers.  However, it said I also needed the Forces of Nature map pack.  I have enough points for both of those, but is there any other dlc I need besides the Fenix Rising and Forces of Nature (I got the Booster one because it was free) map packs? If there is, I might have just wasted 10 bucks because I'm not spending more than 20 on this.

Thanks.

Hey everyone,

I got Halo: Reach around launch, and when I first played it, I hated it because they got rid of weapons, drop items, and dual-wielding from earlier Halo games. I played a little bit of the multiplayer but frankly couldn't stand it because of these flaws. However, this summer I started playing it again and all of a sudden I'm starting to like it. However, there are a lot less people playing now and I'm afraid I missed the opportunity of playing it when it was really popular. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Just wondering.

Thanks

Hi,

I previous computer's motherboard got fried so now I'm copying over my pc games onto a new computer. I've misplaced the instruction booklet to one game, Dragon Age: Origins, and was wondering if I could find the CD key (originally on the booklet) somewhere on my old hard drive.

Thanks in advance.

I forgot to add that yesterday I had troubles getting the disc tray to OPEN but after restarting it several times it worked.
