I'm 35, have my wisdom teeth and they are just fine, Dentist said they will be fine until I die ( as long as I take as good care of my mouth as I already do). Oh and if evolution needed to remove Wisdom teeth then what about our tail bones??

There are a number of factors in the decision to get surgery done. If you honestly judge others for their decisions then that's your problem not theirs. I am currently getting an elective surgery myself. I got a tattoo when I was 17 and I don't want it anymore so I am getting it lasered off. It sucks, it's extremely painful (ten times more than getting the tat) and it takes many many treatments. That being said I am happy I am doing it and it's almost gone. I see all sorts of people in the laser center going for all different reasons. The amazing thing is when you see someone there in the waiting room that you know from some random place (like the bank or grocery store) and you wonder what they are there for, lol.

[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]No. That would be the banks allowing people to take out loans for more money than they could ever afford to repay in a lifetime.-Sun_Tzu-
What the banks did was really clever, albeit morally bankrupt (forgive the pun) and the main cause of our economic situation. They'd give people these s*** loans that they knew were probably not going to be honored, then take those loans, bundle it with some AAA debt, then sell it to investors. After they did that they would then essentially place bets against these crap loans, and that's how they made money, and that's why all these CEO's got these huge bonuses. That's what innovation means in the financial world.

Amen, man! Funny the OP didn't put "Banks" as an option. It's clear corporate greed has won again!

I have listened to plenty over the years, but thanks to mp3s and Streaming I listen to rap/hip-hop channels on Pandora more than actual albums. Damn now that I think about it, I haven't bought a CD since the 90s??

What I've realized with Facebook (and My Space before it) is that some people go on deleting sprees for no reason and it's really nothing to take seriously. Others have prerequisites that they don't tell you where you must constantly talk to them or they'll delete you.

I don't really understand people like that, especially the first type.

MarioFan264
I admit to doing this. I get friend requests and then I notice the person NEVER logs on, never posts, never communicates for any reason. That's fine with me, but it's a social tool for me a lot of the time. I have co-workers that use it to quickly keep up with things that we are working on, or for school as my college uses it for a larger open forum, then there's family that like to see posted photos, etc. BUT then there's the people I mentioned. Why did they make a damn FB page if they don't ever plan on using it??? I end up deleting them cause I don't need a high friend count, I need people who want to use FB for what it was created for. . .

I would imagine that it would be a program written by the robots?

I don't know enough of the whole story of the series to really answer this.

turtlethetaffer

There are programs that look like children within the Matrix, but they are obviously programs, as Neo speaks with one of them himself. Also, the Oracle makes it clear the children she is with are real humans. She says something along the lines of "opening a mind too old is dangerous" or maybe Morpheus said that I can't remember. So they are actively "opening minds" of children as much as possible to avoid the violent rejection of the truth by the people they are "saving" from the Matrix.

[QUOTE="Cyb0rg360"]

I don't think that is right. Yes people are grown and they are also connected to the Matrix while they are grown. Your life in the Matrix coincides with your body growing in the fluid tubs. It would be easy to associate a new growing baby in the tub to a virtual couple that is "trying to have a baby". Now obviously there would be issues, like the baby looking like the actual parents, which would be solved by the machines taking DNA from the real bodies of the people that are virtually having sex to make the baby. How else would they grow humans anyway? DNA/sperm/egg samples and test tube babies.

JediXMan7

I assumed they used artificial sperm and grew them in an artificial womb, but it's certainly possible.

I still want to know: did we ever see any kids in the Matrix? Any at all? I can't remember seeing kids even in the background.

Good question, I don't remember. There were a few stories about kids in the Matrix in the Animatrix which showed a bunch of kids finding a programming glitch in an abandoned house that people assumed was haunted, lol. Then there was the kid that Neo saved and followed him around Zion. They show him in the Animatrix as well if I remember correctly. He was supposed to be how old in the movie? I would say 16 at the most, but I don't know what the directors would say.
