Pretty sure a lot of people care. My original thinking was that since playstation 2 had so many good RPGs that the playstation 3 would have some too. Although it seems that there really aren't too many good rpgs for ps3 or for xbox (although the xbox has more but most aren't really all that good).

Would love a few nice RPGs, a JRPG or two just for good balance.

MGS and GTA are genre defining games, two completely different genres. Someone who likes gta could like mgs but they could also completely hate it. Remember reviewers are human.

I don't think the article is bias so the only way it can become a topic of flaming is if someone makes it into one.

Well Killzone2 and MGS4 both promise quite a bit graphically, but the realy problem with most games is that they were created to be mult platform, or ported from one platform to another. The moment you start doing that you get games that look basically the same since you're not really play to a specific platforms strengths and weaknesses.

But yeah time, budget and skill also play the largest role of cource.

Seems to be a bit of a thing lately, just look at MGS4. But it's good advertisement on both sides, and it's not like it ruins the game or anything.

Luckily I have a pretty high tolerance towards other so normally other being being stupid doesn't bother me but I think it really doesn't matter if its a kid or a adult, both can be equally anoying.

Its true that game devs are out to make money (well most of them) but that in itself is not such a bad thing as you make it out to be, if they make poor games we will not pay games. I can't think of a single bad game that has ever sold well, by pure definition that can't really happen. If we start getting bored with fps then the industry will game us something else.

I'll probably pick it up when the price has significantly dropped, since it isn't that bad of a game just not that good either...

Well yeah this is kinda iffy isn't it, and the whole thing about no spoilers does kinda make it seem even less believable.
