Renegade_Fury, thanks for bringing Super Meat Boy up, thats wxactly what I'm talking about! SMBoy was SOO much more challenging (and consequently more fun) than most of Nintendo's recent offergins. Its this kind of challenge that I would love to see in a MArio game! except in mario they can make it 3D and with a much bigger budget etc

No they havent, I've played Galaxy 1 and 2 and although they each had a few semi-challenging areas, they were few and far between. They also give you so many freakin
lives theres no urgency or fear of death at anypoint in the game.

Yes it would.

I know who is CURRENTLY buying mario games, but they could appeal to a much broader audience by including difficulty setings
or making a merio game where it actually pains you when you die or lose (like in Dark Souls)

I am the perfect example of this type of customer. I will currently NOT buy a mario game because I know it will be too damn easy,, I mean seriously
how many of you actually care oor even look at how many lives you have left??

Imagine the intensity playing a level where you've died a few times already and where you know that if you die again you will have to start over not just that level but the that world (for example you could be in level 4-3 and if you die you have to start over at level 4-1 (meaning every world is your only checkpoint usually theres like 7-8 worlds in a mario game, anyways, you get what im getting at, doesnt have to be exactly like that just giving an example)

And I'm not just talking about the checkpoints, but to really make a Mario game where the platforming is DIFFICULT and where you really have to have precise timing
and platforming.

It would sell MILLIONS more than the current offerings. I'm talking a Mario game where the
platforming requires intense consetration and skill, and yes one where you would actually die alot
and where you would ACTUALLY CARE HOW MNAY LIVES YOU HAVE LEFT. This is why I havent bought a Nintendo
product in years. Too easy, no difficulty settings etc.

Man if they made a mario game this way I'd be the first in line.

I didnt look it up because nevver in a million years did I think the developers would purposely ommit a main multiplayer component in a series!!!

Does anyone here really believe that they have more fun playing this than the medium to small levels in Reach in free for all mode????

This is the biggest disgrace I've ever witnessed in a major frnachise.

They have taken Halo and turned it into a COD wannabe. Halo was fine just the way it was!!!

Now its HUGE levels (havent encountered any small levels, which isnt a surprise since these are usually made for free for all, which the game doesnt have)

Even the damn perks are the same as COD, after a certain amount of kiils you choose which one you want with the digital pad)

Halo Reach is still the best Halo game to date. THIS IS AN UTTER DISGRACE AND YOU CAN SEE THE COD INFLUENCE EVERYWHERE, I BET MICROSOFT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THAT.

Halo was the ORIGINAL multiplayer platform for online game, instead of setting the precedent and setting the example like bungie did they are now copying COD and become followers.

I've never felt inclined to post anything but I've been a lont time reader. Never in my gaming days
I have witnessed such an atrocity of keeping out an essential game mode from a Halo game.

Anyone else feel the same??? Or did I miss something???

I'm sorry, but there being no regular free for all slayer is Halo 4 is down right pathetic. I dont like teams I like to go frag
on my own and see how much better I am then everyone else.

what the HELL are 343/Microsoft thinking?????! Regular deathmatch has been in every single Halo not to mention every online FPS ever made basically.

I had to go back to Halo Reach after purchasing what is now useless Halo 4.

What an effin joke!!!!!!!!
