This is mostly wrong and misunderstanding of the industry. The reason Xbox One has higher price point is because they made the wrong decision to include Kinect with the system AND to include so many third party services. They have to pay to make services like Skype a prominent feature in the system and to advertise their system for inherently supporting such services. (Not to mention their plans with television services and etc).

Sony and Microsoft are about even as they could be when it comes to self production for their gaming system.

Microsoft made the wrong decision and their lowest price point was 100 dollars higher than Sony. That's it.

You learn in economy 101 that it doesn't benefit a company at all the balloon up a price if they're not in a monopoly. Microsoft messed up with their business strategy and their lowest selling price happened to be higher than Sony's. Simple as that.

Agreed 100%.

Also Japanese market has to stop trying to forcibly cater to the American market. They need to trust the American more to have the palette for the Japanese games. Japanese games got most Americans hooked on games in the first place. Be different - create a diverse market.

Lastly, stop screwing with your customers and respect the fanbase. I'm looking at you CAPCOM.

It doesn't work that way. For starters, lowering prices doesn't fix their issues if the profit per sale doesn't cover the cost.

MK has lot of depth, Injustice so far doesn't seem like it does.

But SF characters do have lot of history although they don't throw it at your face. They all intermingling plots. But again, SF4 came out at a time where the community wasn't really demanding a story mode from fighting games.

Honestly, it was Guilty Gear and Tekken series that changed all that and started providing better thought out plots (guilty gear, not really tekken) and engaging single player experience (Tekken).

SF is about competitive play. It also came from the time where single player experience wasn't really requested by the players.

SF does have challenge modes (much better than most fighting games including Injustice teaching you basics to pro-level combos), unlockable "skins", training modes (for everything you need even at pro level), spectator lobbys.

It's gameplay isn't simply "preference". All games are preference. But SF's gameplay has stood the test of time and is still hailed as one of the most balanced, deep, and engaging engine to date.

Fighting game community isn't full of fanboy idiots. We'll jump on to the next best thing if it showed up. But so far outside of Tekken, SF, KoF, and BB, there hasn't been that great of fighter game out there.

You're the first person ever I've seen to compliment MK series for their plot. Either something really struck a chord with you or you haven't been exposed to much books, films, and even some rare gem games.

But what's the standard here?

MK story is pathetic, but it's characters lores are interesting.

SF story is pathetic, but it's characters are charismatic.

BlazBlue story is decent and it's characters are decent.

MvC3 has no story. Characters gets freebies because they have their own franchises.

KoF story is weird but intriguing, characters lore are also surprisingly thought out.

Finally Injustice story is alright (It's no Kingdom Come, but it's about C+ comic book tale), characters are obviously beloved American heroes, but the fighting engine lack depths compared to the current top dogs of the fighting games.

But despite what people say, It's single player campaign isn't anything special. At all. It's basically how any fighting game single player is like outside of CAPCOM games.

----

But in the end fighting genre are at core about their engine. These days there are certain expectations for their single player experience but other than trials/practice mode these are still extreme luxury.

Injustice lacks in the most crucial aspect.

I don't think there's anything wrong critiquing story from a game that

a) Obviously focused on the story mode.
b) Weaker point, but from a DC title.

If the game didn't offer a story mode as their main single player attraction, than it wouldn't be judged for it. Not to mention your point of "long-forgotten heroes with ridiculous outfits is completely unjustified. Out of comics, DC are the ones who are known for having the best stories comparable to novels with a huge following still due to all the new movies coming out.

Balance wise, almost any invested fighting game players knew those items were going to have be turned off for any competitive play. I haven't felt any direct issues of characters like Batman having to rely on those items to fight against characters like Superman, but time will tell.

Tutorial wise, every fighting game offers great tutorial these days ever since early 2000s when VF4 offered their amazing tutorials.

Long story short, this game isn't that great of a competitive fighting game, doesn't stand on its own very well, and lacks the basic standard of package in terms of modern fighting games.

But 7.0 seems too harsh.7.5 would have been a better score for it.

Don't be an ignorant ass.

You can be an American and be critical of what it has done.

Yes we have the most powerful military in the world but it is not the most ETHICAL or the most EDUCATED military in the world.

We as Americans have done incredibly horrifying things over at the middle east including mowing down hundreds of civilians just for the fun of it. (Unless you've been living under a rock you should have heard this news)

Our drones fail 50 percent of times and kill more civilians than the people in the President's kill list.

We violated the sovreignty laws that we helped establish after WW2 to protect peace and justice.

We messed up as much as we did good. People need to recognize all countries do that.

The point of GS is wrong because User rating is "high" is a fallacy.

This game is a classic example of a "niche game".

I enjoy the WofS series since the first one (I think last I checked I beat the game at least 60 times) but I'd be lying if I said that the game doesn't have loads of problems.

Those who enjoy this game will rate it higher to defend it or because to them it's the game they were looking for.

But for other gamers, WotS doesn't have really much to offer and lot of it's flaws will overshadow its shines.
