Hi all,

I recently dug out my FF7 discs and started up a bid for a perfect game, last time i played it was on an old Windows 95 desktop (RIP); this time it is on a Dell latitude D600 with XP.

Imagine my agony when i encountered the Cosmo canyon hang! i've tried all the recommended things (changing the hardware acceleration fiddling with the resolution and the Truemotion drivers/settings, trying GYPD (or whatever it was called) to skip the FMV and finally putting all the videos onto the HDD and editing the registry). So i've come to the end of my tether.

Does anyone have another solution to try or have a working installation of FF7 and would be willing to get me through this annoying problem if i email them my save file or something? Failing that just some tails of your woe would ease my pain :)

I was really getting into this game again and it pains me to have to give up on it, crisis core is no substitute.

Will.

Hi all,

I'm a little disappointed with the RPG spread on the PS3; when (as i'm sure many of you did) i weighed up my decision about PS3 Vs Xbox a large factor was that because sony were from japan logically there would be more JRPG's on the PS3, woe be me.

There are only about 10 RPGs at all on the PS3 (few of which appeal to me), the Xbox has a few more but still not an overly impressive catelogue. I'm waiting eagerly for FFXIII but like every FF game the release date is sliding ever right.

So i suppose the question i have is; what RPGs are people waiting for and what platform are they going to be released on? (and is it worth getting an Xbox for Fable II and Star Ocean when i already have a PS3 and a reasonable gaming PC).

Will

Old PC games like starcraft and Grim Fandango still hold pride of place in my collection, I'd love to be able to play them on my PSP via some clever software and an image of my game CD's perhaps.

Does any such software exist?
