@user_pt: It uses a newer API (probably DX9) and it just handles things differently and wasn't made for old tech. Even when there's almost nothing to render DX9 just won't run on a 200mhz Pentium paired with a 4mb VooDoo. Also, the videos are upscaled so a decent CPU is required to decode them.

@phili878: To be fair the 360 didn't have much more exclusives (true exclusives, not found on PC) than ps4/x1.

I really hope they'll never make a remake. Square-Enix (as it is today) would probably produce a terrible, steaming turd. I'd rather they left my beloved game alone.

@RJS86 @Claudu Hopefully, Xenogears is one of my all time favorite jrpgs. I modded my ps1 in 1999 to play it (a pirated copy, but there was really no other way to play it in Poland back then), but I bought a proper one two years later when I went on a trip to New York.

@RJS86 @Claudu The guy mentioned it was a completely different story. But it doesn't matter, because what I meant was that the first game had an imaginative and original concept for the world your in and in here it's just the generic "Americans crashed on an alien planet" stuff. It almost feels dumbed down with Americans forced in there to appeal to the US gamer... Like if Final Fantasy had poor sales and they thought, "Hey, let's have a teenager from California who finds that weird portal and pops up in a Final Fantasy world...". I'd rather tehy kept it clean, you know? Mythological sci-fi world with no connection to the real world.

@RJS86 @Claudu Oh, so you can customize your character at the beginning? I somehow missed that piece of info. I haven't played the first game yet, but a world built from two giant beings seemed like a more mythological and imaginative than a US spaceship crashed on an alien planet....

Damn, that main guy looks so freakin' out of place in an anime styled jrpg. I know they are trying very hard to appeal to western audience, but really, this guy creeps me out, he doesn't belong in this game.

The show didn't contribute or amount to anything much, but I really liked to hear silly comments read in funny voices. Now there's really no reason for me to visit gamespot anymore.

@PayneKiller @Claudu I know that. But what I meant was that there is no guarantee you'll be able to redownload them in the future.
