Also, iZ3D just discontinued its 3D PC monitors last month. If you can get your hands on one of the leftovers, it's a pretty decent (though far from perfect) 3D monitor that uses polarized light instead of the headache-inducing shutter glasses.
I love stereo 3D enough that I've played games anaglyph just for the experience. But most people aren't willing to torture themselves for depth perception in their entertainment, shutter glasses or otherwise. I really hope the glasses-free monitors drop in price, and fast. Until then, it'll only be adopted by the tiny cult fanbase it already has.
I'd much rather see 3D in games than in movies. Though the tech will not take off until glasses-free 3D becomes the norm, AND developers can prove it to be more than just a gimmicky gee-whiz feature. The Wii pushed motion controls successfully, and we will need a similar push for 3D to last in the long-term.
This would only make sense if you compared to PC hardware available at the time the consoles first came out. Otherwise, of course the latest PC rig is going to win. That's kind of a no-brainer. **Up next: Current-gen PCs versus two-year-old PCs! WHO WILL WIN??**
