^ You don't have to be a fan of Borderlands to like this game. There's no resemblance except that both try to be funny. If no one said this was Gearbox we'd have no idea. This is a first-person FPS/Moba.

And the level thing isn't pointless, that's SUPER common in Mobas.

This is actually a good topic for SW because the performance on console kills the game in my opinion. I had a lot of fun on the PS4 beta, but it's not even stable 30 fps and the field of view is too low. It's really hard to hit moving targets so you can basically hop around in different directions and survive/escape pretty easily. And the low FoV means as melee you can't even see your opponent's health bar, and if you get jumped by a melee you can't do much but run or backpedal.

This game is only going to be worth it on PC imo because high FoV and 60 fps will change the way the game is played and the meta, whereas I think Battleborn on console will be much more casual because of its performance, and less rewarding for it.

The gameplay is fine, standard MOBA in first person. The characters are quite different and fun to play, though I think their abilities lack the right punch. I think the game isn't funny at all to me but maybe I'm just too jaded.

Unfortunately buying a controller isn't an option. Has anyone had experience playing with m+kb?

On sale on Steam right now and I keep checking it out. I've never played the series much but they are fun.

Is it worth the price tag? How good are the controls using keyboard and mouse?

If that bothers you, i'd recommend Dragon Age Ultimate Edition...

I've played through the Dragon Age Series, but on console. Great series and great suggestion for people who've yet to play it, but I don't think I'm ready to replay it. Where's it on sale?

I just found out that Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced edition exists. Can someone new to the series still pick it up and have fun with it? I know it's an iconic and revered RPG series, but it looks so aged and complicated because of it.

Thoughts? Worth a try still?

Thanks for suggestions. Keep em coming folks! I'll add a couple more I've played: Warframe: It's very fun as others have said. It handles like Mass Effect and the graphics are AAA-worthy. It has the potential to be a superb game that's held back by the fact that the only thing to do is queue up levels and kill. And kill. It's super repetitive but good for short bursts. Forge: A third person pvp brawler like Lord of the Rings Conquest free on Steam now. Honestly it's disappointing compared to the hype it garnered last year, but worth a check.

I'm looking for some good f2p games that have come out recently or that are highly recommended or very popular. Examples: Path of Exile--high quality Diablo 3-esque RPG known for its player races and massive skill tree. Card Hunter--tabletop card battler that stands out from the crowd with charm and being self aware (you play in a basement with your friend Gary, who acts as the game master for the campaign levels). List more please! Looking for things that are high quality but aren't massively known (like League of Legends, Runescape, etc.).

I'd love more recommendations, and thanks to all who've replied. Dungeon Defenders looks great, but what kind of co-op is it? Can we play through a campaign together, or is it just grinding random maps? I forgot to say that I've already played through Borderlands and Castle Crashers. I'm probably going with Dungeon Siege 3 first based on your recommendations, but what's after? Is Sacred 2 a long game? Is it good playing off one screen?

I'm looking for strictly RPGish (either broadly or specifically), so not looking for Gears or any straight up shooters. Must be offline, same console co-op that allow us to play through the game's campaign together. Doesn't have to be an outstanding game, just a fun co-op experience. I was considering the following two, which are both pretty cheap: Hunted: The Demon's Forge (5.0 -- http://www.gamespot.com/hunted-the-demons-forge/reviews/hunted-the-demons-forge-review-6316955/) Dungeon Siege III (6.5 -- http://www.gamespot.com/dungeon-siege-iii/reviews/dungeon-siege-iii-review-6320324/) A few that we played and liked were Cursed Crusade (crappy game, but we had fun), Lord of the Rings: War in the North, and Tomb Raider: Guardian of Light (has RPG elements to it). Please give me your eligible recommendations! ;D
