Doom for the SNES is widely regarded as one of the best ports of Doom there is, sometimes even being compared to the Playstation version released a little bit before-hand. My stance on the matter is… IT'S THE ******* WO... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
No snazy intro, lets just get this review over-with. Super Mario Sluggers, as a whole, isn't a bad game. The controls are ok, it's got some nice visuals to look at (though not really next-gen), and the game has great ... Read Full Review4 of 4 users found the following review helpful
This is a very solid game, and even today it holds up strong, but it's flaws still shine both now and then.
Mortal Kombat has un-arguably one of the biggest fan-bases in the world, and it has good reason too. The games are gory, look good, they all combine for an excellent story, and without a doubt, the greatest amount of blo... Read Full Review1 of 1 users found the following review helpful
Vectorman came out when the Genesis was pretty much dead. The Saturn raced out into the front lines, and Sega themselves were losing steam. Enter Vectorman, a timeless classic that looks great, plays great, and will be o... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
Just like Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the show was very bad, but the game turns a bad license into a great game.
Now, this game series has a horrible past. Not only that, but the TV show and the movies were pretty crappy (although the TV show wasn't ALL that bad...). So when you approach this game, you expect very little. Just like... Read Full Review0 of 1 users found the following review helpful
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time
Final Fantasy X
I saw this game, and hope started building up. A game with the name Rival Turf shouldn't be too bad, right... right? When I started it up though, all my hopes of a good game was shattered. This game is full of frustratio... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
Ok, now we should get some things out of the way: The TV show and movie was about as bad as you can get. When I played this game, I thought: This is the ET of the Super Nintendo. When I played it though, I was plesently ... Read Full Review1 of 1 users found the following review helpful
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
Final Fight lost little in the traslation to the Super Nintendo: Too bad it wasn't built for the old consoles anyways...
Final Fight is one of those gems in the arcades. You would get your allowance for about $8, ask your mom to drive you to the mall, and you waste most of the money on Pizza, Soda, and Ice Cream. You have your last dollar,... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
Art of Fighting
As much as I love the great gameplay elements and graphics, this game has broken A.I and average two player: 1-2 K.O.
Art of Fighting is said to be a really great game. I thought I could try it out, and when I played it, I wondered: How much crack did those people take? This game does have a couple advantages: It has good graphics, brin... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
Marvel Super Heroes in War of the Gems
Although this game is average, it is one of the still better side scrollers on the Super Nintendo, for better or worse.
Marvel sure has a history in video gaming franchises. Most of their games are good looking and bad playing games, but they have their rare jewels in video games. This is considered a jewel, although I think it is another... Read Full Review0 of 1 users found the following review helpful
Mega Man 7
Megaman 7 is a pretty good game by itself, but when you compare it against the other games in the series, it suddenly get super weak. It has the best graphics in the series, some great sounds and music, and some decent g... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
Mega Man X3
This game is truly the best SSS on this platform. I say it as: Capcom's finest hour for Megaman (aside from Megaman 2)
Ok now, I'm a little on edge today: I have to get a few more reviews until I hit 20, so I'll say this outright: THIS GAME ROCKS! Well, let this talk for itself. +Great bosses. +Perfect for speed runs. +Hard enough.... Read Full Review2 of 2 users found the following review helpful
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
The original was good: This one is slightly better, but is it king? No. Donkey Kong: He is one misunderstood fella. He comes across as stupid, tough, somewhat friendly, and he has good games. Ok, that is all true, but th... Read Full Review0 of 1 users found the following review helpful
This game has all the stuff for a great fighting game, but they really screwed up and made a horrible game.
2D Fighting games are rarely ever bad. Sprites are fairly easy to make if your a gaming company, these games have the simplist action scripts, and storylines aren't really needed. Unfortunatly, this game is anything but... Read Full Review1 of 4 users found the following review helpful
Final Fantasy III
One of the best RPG's for the Super Nintendo, and whlie it has its flaws, those flaws are somewhat minor.
Ok, in the RPG wars, there were roughly one dozen RPG's on the Super Nintendo. Only 5 of them were really good: Final Fantasy 3, 2, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, and Secret of Evermore. Final Fantasy 3 and Chrono Trig... Read Full Review0 of 2 users found the following review helpful
Spider-Man & Venom: Maximum Carnage
The hardest game in existance, but this is also somewhat fun, great looking, and it has some redeeming sounds.
This game is outright the hardest video game in existance. Although some games try their damnest to try to be very hard, they can't get much harder than this. For the first 3 levels, the game actually is average in diffi... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
Super Mario Kart
This game started the kart racers, and while I do respect that, Super Mario Kart is still a weak kart racer.
Ok, I will say it outright: All the praise this game has gotten is not very accurate. The only two things I agree with is that it is a good multiplayer and that this game started the kart racing phase. Unfortunatly for M... Read Full Review3 of 14 users found the following review helpful
Super Mario All-Stars
This is the very first gaming collection in existance (not counting the Atari 2600) and it started a bad cult. What is bad about gaming complations? Almost all of them are half assed with only extremely mildly entertaini... Read Full Review0 of 6 users found the following review helpful
Super Metroid is confusing at first, but when you get used to the wtf controls and massive world, you will get hooked ..
Super Metroid was not that popular when it was released for the SNES. It is decently fun, it looks great, and it sound beutiful. Unfortunatly, it is very confusing at first, and it has easy bosses once you figure out you... Read Full Review0 of 10 users found the following review helpful
Super Mario World
Super Mario World is very easy to recommend, it is easy on the eyes, painless to the ears, and just plain fun!
Ok, this game is a LITTLE overrated. It has gameplay very similar to the Mario platformers, the sprites and backgrounds are inferior when you compare it to the vastly superior Yoshi's Island, and the music and Sound FX a... Read Full Review0 of 1 users found the following review helpful
3D isn't for Super Nintendo: Famous words of mr. Sony. And they are partly right too... well.... 3D GAMEPLAY anyways! 3D graphics on the SNES have been known to have been extrememly poor, but Donkey Kong Country proves t... Read Full Review0 of 1 users found the following review helpful
Yes it does sound great, yes it is argueably the best looking platformer on the SNES, but it is still way to hard.
Ok, this game is definitaly way too hard. It looks great, it sounds great, and the gameplay is even varied enough to intrest you. However, this game was a step backwards for the series compared to the Nintendo one, and t... Read Full Review0 of 3 users found the following review helpful
This game is hard to the EXTREME! but it more than makes up for that in good fun and suberb graphics.
This game is said to be way too hard. That is true. This game is said to be horrible. This is false. BattleToads and Double Dragons is a suprisingly good game that just should not have existed, but it does, it is good, a... Read Full Review0 of 0 users found the following review helpful
