Less than a week for me too, I'm not in Canada though. All in all I was impressed by how easy and fast the whole process was. They may have made a mistake with the original design, but how they dealt with fixing the problem is the most important thing at this point.

NONE will only be compatible with DX10!!!   You can play ANYTHING.

For god's sake, man.

Now I see, halo 2 on April 24th.  Still, it will be playable with a DX9 card, such as the 1900 series.

BTW, Halo 2 was never released on PC.  I have not heard of anything that has to do with that game, or even Halo 3, coming out anytime soon on PC.  Talking about Crysis, maybe?

All games released in the next year or two will be compatible with DX9 or 10.  You will still be able to play halo.  You will be able to use the Aero desktop theme on Vista with all the bells and whistles.  It just isn't a DX10 card, used for DX10 effects, in games.

The sad thing is, every day there is a thread nearly identical to this one in which someone asks if their computer is good, only to name off like the best parts in the most ridiculous computer available.  I don't know if these are lonely people looking for attention or if they just like to annoy others online.  I haven't figured out just why people do this...

No, ATi has not released a true DX10 card yet.  The X1900 series is fully compatible with Vista, but can't run the extra effects that Vista [shader model 4.0] offers.  Also, they don't have the unified shader archetecture that is crucial to real DX10 processing.  It's a good card, just not DX10.

Uhh, 32 bit versions support 4 gigs of RAM.  64 bit Home Basic supports 8 gigs and Home Premium supports 16 gigs.  And Vista works fine with games.  Personally, I wouldn't go back to XP ever.

It's not a good time to buy that card.  Get a DX10 card.  The only option at the moment is the GeForce 8800 series.  If you want to wait a while, ATi will release their DX10 card eventually.
