I understand your argument, but after playing Modern Warfare 2 you realize that it really is just a big 90's style action flick with no real emotional substance. So at least now we get a trailer without the false hope.
@boredywardy That's not completely true. Yes, the larger companies are making a profit because they are established and people will buy their product. But, lets say a new companies releases a brand new game with a brand new concept. There is a good chance many will pass on this because they don't know who the company is or what the game is like. Too many people today judge games by screen shots or videos, which is ridiculous. Most people fear change and unfamiliar things. So, if said company sells ten copies of the their game, then those same ten are returned and re-bought. You can see how the money loss can add up. Since game development cost are so high these days many studios just keep shutting down. Quite sad really...
