As soon as Nintendo unveiled the Wii U concept, I knew that gampad was going to entail a huge cost. The result is they had to make cuts to the console's hardware itself such as disk space, OS, USB etc to keep the price low and still have a "tablet" gamepad with tons of bells and whistles. I think the Wii U has an identity crisis...doesn't know what it wants to be...a console or a tablet. If you ask me, the entire next gen of consoles are in big trouble with the advent of all these casual mini games coming out on dozens of superphones and tablets.

I actually do not mind games being easy because unlike in my childhood and teen years, as an adult with a child and full time job I don't have nearly enough time to play games. When I do get a chance to play I want to have fun, not become frustrated and bogged down while trying to repeatedly overcome a challenge. What I do think is unwise for developers is not letting players choose a difficulty setting from the beginning.

We know Blizzard has an outstanding reputation for making polished products right from launch but these are different times. Games are much more complex and when you add this need for constant online connectivity to central servers we are bound to see these problems happen especially at launch. Just as it is impossible to produce a bug free game, it's impossible to gaurantee every player can log in on launch day. As long as Blizzard fixes the problems very fast, they still deserve their reputation.

I was going to eventually get Vista late this year when I was planning a PC rebuild but then I heard about 7 and that it would be out at this time so I waited. Sure glad I did because in a few days I'll have a brand new PC built with a modern Asus AM3 mobo, Phenon II X3 black edition and a Radeon HD4870 1GB DDR5 graphics card with Windows 7 OEM. I think this system will have a very long lifespan. As much as I love building PC's I don't like wasting money in the PC gaming upgrade war.

All the PS3 images look brighter and more washed out. I think there may be a problem with the capturing done on the PS3 because there is no way the PS3 can be really that far behind the 360 in texture quality. I can see this might happen on some games but virtually every PS3 screenshot was the same way.

I can clearly see from these comparison pics that the Xbox 360 looks significantly better than PS3. Even though during actual gameplay it's very hard to notice, the fact still remains the same and I'm very surprised that the PS3 visual's haven't surpassed the 360's yet. Perhaps the 360 does have the best architecture, then again there are hardly any exclusively developed games for the PS3 to benchmark until we get MGS 4 or 5 (can't keep track).

If you want the real truth about price and performance head over to www.hardocp.com Nobody on the internet does reviews as in-depth as they do that provide a 100% realistic representation of what the cards give you. Canned benchmarks went out of style a couple years ago. Not only do they not provide accurate measures of performance but they are downright misleading and Gamespot is making matters worse by trying to come up with a simple value per framerate calculation. It takes real world testing, analysis and time to give an accurate review.

Uh, what the hell kind of lame comparison is this? The pics don't even match up and you make Halo 3 look almost worse than 2.

This article makes me even more skeptical about buying a PS3 than before, *sighs* I really do want one but Sony's just not giving me a good enough reason to spend that kind of money. They've made too many mistakes and they've compounded so many times that I fear the PS3 is in risk of becoming a failure and it's all because of poor management at Sony.
