TC here... I'm not even bothered by the always online drm or buggy servers... The biggest thing holding me back from buying the game is size of the cities. That's why I wonder if I can just build and manage three cities on my own and just think of it as one massive city lol.

After San Andreas I feel most of Rockstar's PC ports haven't been optimised very well. Bully, GTA IV, LA Noire, Max Payne 3...
Hey guys... I'm a sad loser who likes to play games alone.
Is it possible to play Sim City on a private server, build several cities by yourself and still have them flourish?
Yeah, I just finished Brutal Legend on PC and it doesn't run as well as many newer better looking games.
Tomb Raider is easily the most demanding game in that list... especially with that crazy TressFX hair stuff.  The Witcher 2 is definitely very demanding but Witcher 1 isn't anymore by today's standards. And wtf man, Remember Me's not even out!Â
First try using an open DNS as its prolly easier (dont ask me what DNS means, I've no clue!). Go to your PS3's network settings, internet connection settings, then manual, go through your usual stuff, automatic this and that but apply a manual DNS. First try 8.8.8.8 - 8.8.4.4. Hopefully that'll solve your problem. Otherwise, try 4.2.2.2 - 4.2.2.1.
If that still doesn't work, your last and probably BEST resort (so you could just try this route first), use the DNS your modem is configured to. To check your DNS, follow this: http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/how-to-find-out-what-my-dns-servers-address-is/
Then apply the numbers you find in the DNS settings for your PS3. If you still can't figure out the DNS your modem's using, I know another method to find out...
BTW, I'm no pro in these things and there's a chance I may be feeding you wrong info. Applying my own DNS in the PS3 did work for me though.
I had a similar problem when using wireless. The internet test says it can obtain the IP address fine but then fails right after that. I tried setting my DNS manually and its been fine since. You could try that, match the DNS in the PS3 to your modem's settings or use an open DNS.
[QUOTE="Calviscerate"]Most multiplayer games don't have scripted moments. Other then some UT3 maps (looking at you Sandstorm) and Launch from black ops. All games have scripted moments to make epic moments in single player but not so much in multi. But i do agree with you at the end. It is cool to know that someone is determined enough to kill you that they will blow up a buidling or ten. Most games have scripted events to create moments of epicness. BF3's multiplayer has no scripted events whatsoever but is often times more epic than whatever alot of its competitors try to throw out. It's cool to run around hearing and seeing explosions everywhere and realizing everything is caused by some player.

Yea I know most mp games don't have scipted events.
What I meant was, even without scripted events, a couple rounds of BF3's multiplayer is sometimes more epic than some entire single player campaigns.
When I was planting C4 on tanks in BF3 mp, I was reminded of doing it in CoD2 a long time ago (ah good times, before there were haters). But then I realized in CoD2, it was a specific moment in the campaign but in BF3, I could do it in every single match if I wanted to.

Oh my gawd, the ignorance... I guess you don't even know what a Battlefield game is. Trade it in quick, let the next guy enjoy the multiplayer.
In five continuous days, I've had an average of 2 and a half hours of sleep per day and an average of 0 showers because I'm addicted to the UGC creator. I know I sound like some retarded hobo but I swear, I've never done that before until inFamous 2 UGC! I know most people won't get to experience this simply because Sucker Punch didn't include a tutorial but after spending 12 hours learning how stuff works through trial and error, I've had more fun designing missions than playing the actual game (which I really enjoyed).
