Out of the most recent games I have played, Metal Gear Solid 3 definitely had an epic intro. Mass Effect 2, Bioshock, and Batman: Arkham Asylum have great intros as well. I agree with your selections as well.

The first time I saw it was in the first Halo game. It can get really annoying for me if other players insist on doing it every time they kill me. However, it is enjoyable to see an unaware player who is teabagging my character get killed by one of my teammates. Justice served

I usually try to alternate between 2-3 games. At the moment, I am playing Metal Gear Solid 3 HD, Fallout 3, and Dragon Age: Origins. I try my best to finish the games I am playing before moving on to another one. If I stop playing a game and come back to it a while later, I completely forget where I am in the story, how to play, etc.

Like an earlier post stated, many of the Wii games that I find pretty well-made use minimal motion control. Games like Wii Sports and Wii Party seem to use motion control more than games such as Super Mario Galaxy or The Legend of Zelda. If you are not wanting to spend too much money, the Wii might be a better option for you since the Wii U is still pretty expensice at around $300+. However, the Wii U can emulate Wii games. I don't believe the Wii U relies on motion control, and you get the option to play Wii U games in HD!  The only downside it that you won't get to play Gamecube games you may own on the Wii U.

I would recommend researching both consoles and seeing which is more to your liking.

You will be confused story wise about Desmond's story. His story consists of about maybe... 5% of the game? Nevertheless, I never found his presence in the game to be really interesting.

The main star of AC3 is Connor, the assassin on the front cover. You can easily follow his story as knowledge of the past AC games are not needed. The setting and gameplay are probably the most improved out of all three games while its story and missions aren't as good as previous entries in the series, but I wouldn't recommend it as a starting point. Assassin's Creed 2 is a better game to start with.

AC2 is going to be free to download for all XBOX Gold Members around July 16, so you can wait for that to be free if you are a gold member. I consider it to be the best of the series with great story and gameplay.

Overall both AC3 amd AC2 are both good games in my opinion, but I would start with AC2 if I were you.

I was given a Kinect as a gift, but I don't really use it. I prefer to have a controller in my hands rather than being a controller.

I'm not really a fan of the CoD games, but if people enjoy those products I'll respect that. Every person has their own taste in games, and I don't see any reason to try to prevent another person from enjoying their favorite video game in most circumstances.
