weird. physical copy or digital? If its physical maybe a problem with the disc...if its digital maybe your HD needs some TLC? Do you have a friend with another system that you could further test on?
I own all current gen consoles but spend most of my time on PS3...in large part due to the exclusives. Uncharted, Sly and Ratchet and LBP are my faves. Yup...I'm a slut for platformers.
Maybe it's just the way I was raised but I don't think kids 10-12 should be playing M games such as GTA. If anything, those kids are often the annoying brats online who mouth off to everyone. Better off waiting until they're older I'd say, but since the mother did give her approval I can't fault you for it nor should you feel guilty.

My thoughts exactly. Well put. You didn't put pressure on his mom...you let it be her call. You shouldn't feel guilty about it. I too would like to see kids wait a little longer to play these types of games on average but it really depends on the kid too.
Scouring MiiVerse to check out people's art is my new addiction. Pure awesome...and so much positivity...what a welcome change. The lack of a capture and upload/share tool is a massive oversight...hopefully it gets added in future updates...or the ability to create albums and galleries with your MiiVerse creations/communications...I'd like that.
Console launches suck. Some of us get screwed. I had a wiiu basic unit on preorder at a gamestop but was out of town when it came out. I wasn't able to get my unit until a 5 days after launch. I had feared that the moronic gamestop employees would open it up and play with it and sure enough when i picked it up and got it home it was missing all the protective plastic on the controller and screen. Someone had opened it and messed with it. Maybe they swapped mine out for parts of someone elses because I have a screen with backlight bleeding. Unfortunately the only thing I can do is write a letter to Gamestop HQ. When I confronted the employees about that they said they would look into it but there was nothing they could do unless I wanted to return it.
Supply and demand sucks. It's always best to wait on a launch of a new system.

You could do that, but only if you don't play your 360 much. The Wii U is a good system with a good launch lineup but having multiple systems is always good. ^This. I recommend the Wii U...lotsa fun to be had and MiiVerse is addictive...you should get one for sure. If the only way you can swing it right now is to part with the 360 though...I'd say wait till you can afford to have both.
I was just at Fry's in Burbank, CA, and they had Wii U Deluxe's in stock. Not on the floor but the sales rep sold me one when I asked if they had them. Have to buy as a combo with either Super Mario and Zombie U, or Super Mario and Sonic All Star Racing. Can't buy just the system.

What the heck, how can they even do that legally? Yeah that just ain't right...what if you were on a budget (and really who isn't these days) and wanted to grab the system for your kids for the holidays...planning to pick up software at a later date...that's a bunch of garbage.
